Quick question, do i need backroom staff at international level and why?

You need an assistant manager, a few coaches, physios, and can appoint managers for U21 and U18 levels i believe

even i don't really see the point of anyone except your assistant manager and the junior team managers..but i presume you can use the coaches to scout some of your players? (haven't done international management in along time)

of course you need an Assistant Manager and a good U/21 Manager as well...

the others (to my knowledge) really add nothing at all... maybe only for larger/longer tournaments when they need to keep fit (physio's) and do not go back to their club for a couple of weeks etc...

other than that, I dont believe they add much, even though I try and hire the best of the best (99% of the time, they are already employed by me at my club)

The best advice i could give is hiring coaches at the big clubs as they can do both jobs.

I didn't bring in any new staff when I took over England. Still one the European Championships.

An Assistant Manager and Physio'll do.

you mean Won :) as I said above, it is really not that important whatsoever :)

Ha! God yeah. I'm obviously not with it today. I sent a text this morning to my mortgage broker with a 'x' at the end.
