Ip banned, why?

I'm not sure if this is the right board to post this in but I came home from college, went to login to the fm base forums and I got a message "Unable to login you are IP banned" or something similar.

I've logged into the forums through a proxy as I feel I have been banned for no reason, I hadn't logged in for a few weeks as I had been unable to play Football manager.

Could a Mod please clear up the reason I was banned?

I imagine those with access are able to check a username with the list of IPs that it has been logged into.

This is what Lee has probably done, and come up blank. Nothing to do with the proxy server.
