My first save - and my first story on FM14. Begins with my current Saturday side, Ipswich Valley Rangers. We'll begin in the Championship with a squad of 19, which is our current squad. Mostly doing this as just a bit of fun, and after a few years should be flying with masses of potential!

IVR
Friendlies
Crawley 1-1 Ipswich Valley Rangers
Midgeley

Obviously not impressive - but dominated and only just starting, so not too concerned.

Ipswich Valley Rangers 0-1 Le Havre

Still adapting, give it time!

AFC Hornchurch 0-5 Ipswich Valley Rangers
Chenery, Jack Rayner (2), Midgley, Rattle

Simple enough, but they're awful

So the real stuff begins;

Ipswich Valley Rangers 2-0 Sheffield Wednesday
Betts (2)

Get in, good start, Betts is looking like a beast of a target man.

Blackburn 2-4 Ipswich Valley Rangers
Calver, Betts (2), Jack T Rayner

vClose encounter until they dropped to 10 men, then we ran rampant.

Ipswich Valley Rangers 0-0 Derby

Tight 0-0 draw, dominated but couldn't back through, still unbeaten in competitive matches.
Brighton 0-0 Ipswich Valley Rangers

Another close draw, not helped by a shocking tackle by Jack T, first ever IVR red.

Ipswich Valley Rangers 1-0 Middlesborough
Betts

Back to winning ways, another goal for Betts too.

So here's the overview:

Next update will be September!

All feedback welcome:)

Those stats for a 15 year old are just plain ridiculous!

I did say at the start that this is a bit of fun - for my actual team mostly. It's only intended to run for a few seasons, the stats are based on our league at the level we play at.

October/September

Blackpool 0-3 IVR
Midgley, Ling, Betts
Good win here, easy enough.

IVR 0-1 Leicester
Tough late goal from Nugent after we dominated. It's a cruel game sometimes.

Notts Forest 3-5 IVR
Birt, Dixey, Calver, Chenery, Ling
Goals galore but we looked comfortable for the most part.

IVR 3-2 Reading
Berry, Betts, Jack T Rayner
1st v 2nd, We led 3-0, before they grabbed 2 in the last 15.

IVR 6-2 Charlton
Calver, Midgley, Betts, Durrant, Chenery (2)
Tight until the hour mark , where we ran away with it, scoring 4. Also Chenery, Midgley and Betts are looking terrifying in the final 3rd.

Wigan 1-3 IVR
OG Barnett, Rattle, Durrant
Good win against a decent top 6 side.

IVR 3-0 Burnley
Midgley 2, Parnell
Midgley in great form and first goal for Chazza. 5 straight wins now, we're showing our class.

IVR 2-4 Barnsley
Jack Rayner, Betts
Horrible result against a struggling side. Guilty of complacency I think.

Table

Dominating the middle since his return from injury, adding a goal aswell.

May well have over-estimated the championship, will expect us to win the league comfortably from here. Prem will be much closer I think.

Almost a carbon copy of the Birmingham match, we've found our feet, now we're walking it

Leeds 1-3 IVR

Dominant win with only 10 men, my main 3 getting amongst the goals again.

Watford 0-3 IVR
Midgley, Ling, Steward
Starts for Lingo and Steward , both scoring.

IVR 2-0 QPR
Durrant , OG
Easily dispatched QPR side

IVR 3-1 Doncaster

3-0 at HT, Bettsy had a stormer.

Bournemouth 2-4 IVR

Goals galore, including 2 screamers from the centre.

IVR 3-0 Bolton

Easy with Steward scoring 2.

The big CB Dixey scored 2 then got injured!
So we go into the new year like this:

So we win all of our games in the last two months, giving us a sweet title lead.
Player of the Update:

Andy Chenery; 18 apps, 6 Goals, 10 Assists, AVG rating of 7.47
The silky Left-Winger has improved drastically since the start , and ripped up the leagues defences.

As predicted we're running away with it, will finish the season with one big post summarising , as the title looks inevitable.
