Is it impossible?

I don't like to complain generally, but am I the only one very frustrated with this game at the moment? Every tactic I try is struggling, most of the last versions I have managed a medium size team to great effect but this time I find it impossible to get anywhere near the top six for example, I have tried multiple tactics and I can't remember the last time I found a clean sheet and the consistency in results is lacking. Forgive my complaints, I guess I need reassurance that I'm not the only one finding it hard...
