[RDF tactics]

okay, i'm really getting frustrated because every goal i conceded is a long ball over the top, defenders miss the header and the striker runs and scores.

no matter what i do i cannot stop it, i have put much deeper defense line, my attacking players closing down a lot to stop the long ball, but i just cannot stop it and its killing me because i cannot tell if i have a good tactic or not.

i have no offside trap but it always tells me they have been my offside trap.

has anyone managed to stop this?

I had the same problem, the way I counteracted it was to change to 'stand off opponents' (and just have certain players, like my BWM and fullbacks, have an individual instruction to close down opposition), and put both CBs on covering duty. The 'drop deeper defensively', from personal experience, doesn't seem to really make much difference to how my team plays, but it might be worth keeping this checked in addition to the 'stand off opponents' selection.
