Is it possible to ban transfers for first season?

I just want to play with current players... is it possible?

I know you can skip till January... and what it actually does is limit you to ?0 spending budget. But is it possible to skip it for the first year?

i think the option implemented where starting budgets are depleted is meant to do this... may be you can do something on the editor but there's probably someone who knows more about that than I do

Don't think so, although if you load a league that starts in February 2014 no transfers will happen before it and as long as there's no transfer window, you'll be able to just holiday till June or the end of whatever season/league you're wanting to start in and play from there.

Im sure there is an option when you are first loading up the game to disable first window transfers or something

you can do it so teams have no budget but the OP wants to get rid of the window completely
