So I normally loan out as many youth players as I can, sometimes all of them. Of course this means I NEVER win any kind of youth competition. I was thinking, should I maybe be only loaning out players once they're too old for my youth contests and therefore getting a season of top league football before starting out for me? Maybe get my team some U18 Champions League trophys? Or just carry on with my loan everyone strategy?

No, the more top level football they can have is what gonna make them become betters.

I don't loan u-18. They need my top facilities to develop.

The u-21 it's another thing. The ones that stay should make the max games they can and some calls to the mains squad. The others should be loaned but only if they play at least 25 games/season, or else they will not develop at all, since the majority of the teams that you loan players will not have so good training facilities.
