Is my assistant an idiot?

So, I'm starting to think i shouldn't even read my assistant's scouting report, because in every game i ever play, he says "Think it's gonna be a 4-4-2, Boss." And I go and look for my latest game, v. Bayern Munchen, and they've started a 4-4-2 a whopping single time! Great intel there.

About the only useful thing about an assistant manager is the ability to send him to do the bore fest of press conferences and as an extra coach for training.
Beyond that they seem to me utterly superfluous to me.
