Is Pogba really worth £80m?

Pogba is worth that amount of money, ingame.

Otherwise, OP, should probably go for Javi Martinez in the first season, and also get Ruben NEves from FC Porto to take over from him eventually. MArtinez will win you trophies now, and Neves development is scary - he becomes good at almost anything (something similar to Pogba)

Would not pay that much when you can get Koke for about 50m and is just as good if not better and has been a beast for me in my Utd save!

Even though I've never personally bought Koke on FM15, his natural value increased to £44.5m at the end of the first season and his £51m release clause was still active. Decided against it since ADM & Herrera managed a respectable 13 goals and 17 assists in CM between them.

I paid 110m for him.... and then realised it's not worth to pay so much money for any player, even if it's Ronaldo..

Well Neymar cost me 85m. So would Pogba be worth 80m? If you can afford him, then I say yes, why not.
Most clubs can't afford to pay for him. But if you can, he is clearly one of the best CMs in the game.

For the value, I really feel that Lucas Romero is the best CM ~7m for a guy who turns world class.

And there are also alternatives to Pogba who are half the price or less -- Tielemans, Kovacic, Verratti, Goretzka, Lucas Silva are all top picks as CM or DM imo. But none of them are quite at the Pogba level.

Neymar and Pogba imo are two guys that can unexpectedly take over a game with one brilliant shot or play. Those guys come at a premium.

PS In order to afford Neymar's 85m price I sold on Geoffrey Kondogbia for 54m to Man City and Alberto Moreno for 43m to PSG. So if you as a manager can sell a couple of players to afford a world-class player such as Pogba, that might be worth it for your team.

I can pick him up for 49 million, second season. Worth the splash, though? Because I have Ramsey, Wilshere, Khedira, and a pretty decent Coquelin as my CM's.

I got him for £40m including an additional £17 in addons + 50% future transfer (... tuuttt I won't be selling him...) oh and a one year loan back thing which was fine as Ander Herrera and Di Maria held the fort brilliantly.

Id you can replicate his 2016/2017 season in your save... he'd be worth £200m imo. Perhaps his record has trailed off since as my tactics have changed massively.. in fact different formation. (4-2-3-1 during his 2016/2017 season - now he plays more as a support role instead of AP(A)???? may be wrong that he played in 16/17)

on my first season with united i managed to get pogba for 55 million and oh boy he has been worth it. since then i have added kroos and gundoagon which makes a very exciting midfield trio. defensively i have purchased john stones, balanta both have been fantastic. A couple of wonder kids that have been sensational for me are oddegard and human tariq. These players would good for any top team

Bought him on Liverpool save end of 2nd season £70m. Absolute beast of a CM. Played him as CM (AP) alongside a BBM.

Arsenal has some very good midfielders. Pogba is in a different class however.

Absolutely yes. But does not mean he is indispensable or his position in Midfield would guarantee fantastic impact to the team as much as Neymar or Hazard in left wing or striking role (I know they are operating on different position).

Pogba 60mill !!!

I just sold Pogba to Man City for 60mill at the start of my 2nd season with Juventus. I actually feel robed now lol. And I am still seating here looking at the screen thinking to myself why the **** I did sell him.
