Unknownmanager started a thread on this question yesterday but has been closed, however, the answer is in fact yes.

Jake already answered this in the running FM 2010 on netbooks thread and if you look through that thread you will see that I applied Jake's suggestion and can confirm that it works.

Essentially you create a virtual CD/DVD drive on your hard disk, from your original FM 2010 disk you then create a disk image which can be "mounted" onto your virtual drive.

I used Daemon Tools Lite, which can be downloaded free, to do all of the above and even installed FM 2010 from the mounted disk image, rather than the original disk, on my Medion notebook.

I can confirm that it runs really well, considering the modest stats of my notebook, with the only occasional problem being that sometimes when loading FM says it can't find the disk. When this happens I just Alt + Tab and check to find that the disk image for FM 2010 has to be remounted, which is easy to do, then I go back to my part loaded FM 2010 and press retry and it works.

This small and occasional glitch may be specific to my setup, but the solution above always works.

1) If you already own a genuine FM 2010 DVD it is not illegal to make a disk image so that you can run on a PC without the disk. In my case my notebook can only use a DVD if I use an external drive, which is not very convenient.

2) What do you need a torrent for?.......Daemon Tools Lite can be downloaded from their own site free of charge without a torrent.....and you won't need a torrent for FM 2010, because you'll be using the disk that you purchased legally!

If you want to run FM 2010 without your DVD don't be put off by such ill informed comments

What?

1) It's not illegal, it is an ISO tool that allows you to burn CD's to a virtual drive, it's completely legal.
2) Firstly most torrents from trusted members of good torrent sites do not contain viruses but what does this have to do with anything? He's saying just insert the disc and burn it to one of these tools

This is the ISO I use for anyone interested in doing this - http://www.magiciso.com/

My mistake i thought you were talking about illegally installing FM10.
