Its Dec 2012 so most are still pretty young but still. I usually play a fluid, attacking, direct 4231 against the weaker teams and then a rigid, attacking, direct 442 against the ones I consider a threat. I like high tempo direct football.

Just seems like the defence has no pace, the midfield cant pic a simple pass and the strikers aim at the goalkeepers face, or the moon! Before this game I've even gone through my team and set every player to what my coach has recommended, this means I end up with a winger set to attack on one side and a wide midfielder set to support on the other but still struggle quite a bit just trying to beat the likes of Oldham in the cup!

The leg of the coffee table has already been repaired once so for the sake of the tv (its quite large, a good target for my coffee mug) could someone tell me where I'm going wrong here?

Jan transfer window is fast approaching which will bring Neymar, deal already agreed. But looks like I need a whole new defence, ones with actual legs...

Looks good. The only problem I see is the team has had no time to properly blend. Stop buying players.

some are still pretty young and no where near there potential
A few seasons and your team will be good :D

I prefer to buy on potential, thing is I never really end up sticking with them for long enough for them to realise it, one of the bigger teams comes in with a bid of 30mil or so and I accept and go scouting for young talent again.

Have whacked the teamwork match prep upto its max and will wait it out. Also set everyone below 16 rating onto Technique individual coaching as I'm told that and composure are the better individual training categories.

Will a few friendlies in the gaps between games quicken the teams gelling together? or just knacker them out?

That'll just knacker them. Some tips to get the players playing properly would be to threaten to drop them if they don't pick up their game and if they don't pick up their game just drop for about four games or one game for your goalie.

Thanks for the tips, know with team blending its going to take a few months for them to sort their act out. Never really gone down the route of dropping people, I usually run a small squad to try and preserve cash. Will get a few more in the Jan transfer window so I can rotate as necessary. Cheers.

Team looks decent, maybe it's the tactic that's not working.

Do you modify your tactic based on the opposition playmakers / target men? If not, you should try it.
I use the 15 minute rule. That is watch the first 15 minutes of the match in full, if you see any gaping holes in your teams tactic that the opposition might exploit, fix it before they discover it.

Hope this helps

if liverpool smashed you 10-1 then ur answer to the question is ur team is wank!

What i reccomend when you even sign one player to set your match preperation to 'Teamwork' so your team will grow an understanding for each other. I do it with Man United and win the title year in year out with only signing 1 world class player every year and then sign 3 newgens and they fit in well and develop when mixed with experience. The key is TEAMWORK

Just wondering who youre managing and how come you had so much money.

One small idea that could possibly help you :
This might only be the case in my game, but personally I played Hamsik as a CM for 2 seasons and was very disappointed with his overall performance, he would always be a 6.6 or 6.7.

Switched him to the left wing, inside forward - attack, and he's been averaging almost a consistent 8.0, and is the leading goalscorer on my team
