pay i ment

no its a pretty good idea but has anyone actually come in and done that

well, as i said, i won't consider using it because it's not realistic but i don't think it's cheating because it can be done, not in game, in real life.. the fact that it doesn't happen or rarely happens doesn't make it unrealistic

i don't think it's cheating because it's legal in real life

FM should change the system a little so less deals are accepted this way

and another thing, i thought it can only be done when a team has a good balance.. just like future payments which can be paid.. only to an extent of your current funds available in relation to your balance

this is NOT cheating, its just good business... 8-|

It doesn't seem to matter, I do it all the time with Hartlepool and their balance is poor, if I try to do it over less games, e.g. 40 it will fall through but not over 50.

Nah mate it's like cm 99 when you could go back and edit the fee and sign everyone for free. I went Villa last night for a laugh and was signing Gago,Love,Akinfeev,Owen etc and it wasnt affecting my budget but on the transfer history it was at like 200m

Its not cheating if you intend to pay the fee's, but signing players which help you improve for free is very much cheating, clubs do not do that in real life, there deals are like the one we have with mcshefferey

2m upfront
1m after promotion
500k after 100 apperances
250k after 25 goals
20% sell on clause

Not 20m after 50 games no none is that stupid and if a deal has ever been made that way then i would like proof???

Like kris said its like on cm when you would make an offer then get on the contract page and press back make a new offer of 0 then press forward and offer him a contract getting all your players for free.

What's the point tho if you have to sell them before they reach 50 games??? How are you gonna get any team to gel if you're consistantly chopping and changing players???

its not good buisness, its cheating, if you takeover stoke, you are suppose to buy players within stokes budget, thats the point, otherwise there might aswell not be a transfer balance, and you might aswell just be able to buy players on free's. saying its good buisness is stupid.

to those who have said that its not cheating and this has been done in real life.

Has it happened? i find it very difficult to believe that a manager would be as naive as that to actually think that the team is going to play him the 50 games.

Even if it has happened a couple of times, it isnt a common occurrence and if it is possible to do multiple times in game, then it is taking advantage of a bug and therefore cheating.

A manager that would agree to the transfer of one of his players like this in real life would either be willing to let the player go for nothing or is retarded (or American, i find it difficult to tell the difference)

I use this technique and do feel a bit guilty because although it is entirely possible it could happen in real life its also likely that if a manager kept using it repeatedly chairmen would get wise to the ploy very quickly.

I have a couple of questions about this if anyone can answer them. Normally I use the 'after x league appearances' but someone mentioned using the 'after x number of international appearances'. If you use this to say sign kaka for 40m after 50 caps for brazil and then sell him after only 40 caps am I still responsible for paying the 40m once he makes his remaining 10 caps at another club?

Also has anyone experienced these clauses disappearing in their game? I'm playing v9.2.0 and last season signed cristian zapata using the 40m after 50 league games. But when I go to look at the transfer clauses section he's not there! Now I know I didn't pay the money as I didn't have it in my budget and I know I definately signed him using this because his history says 40m transfer but the clause doesn't seem to have registered.

No, as he's left your club. Even if you re-sign him the clause is void as you've then bought him from a different club.

you cant select 50 international appearnces. its league appearances that are being discussed. this thread seems a little confused as to whether this clause works for 50 league or international apps. well you cant go as high as 50 international appearnces when making an offer (go away and check like i just did..) so basically you will get a season and a half out of a player and then ahve to sell him, not good for squad harmony IMO

Apologies I didn't check before I posted to see what the options were for international appearances. You are right jdm0388 , the options are 1,10 and 20 for the international appearances option.

The fact that the clause becomes void also makes sense to me. Thank you very much for confirming that somental.
