THE BEGINNING:

I have had a certain degree of support for the Israeli national team. Dominant in AFC, Israel was a national team in exile beginning in 1974 after Kuwait's proposal to exclude them. For the rest of the 70s & 80s, the team mainly played friendlies and entered WCQ under the OFC. They came close to the 1990 WC in Italy, but fell to Colombia over two legs. In 1991, Israeli clubs began participating in European club competitions, and entered UEFA in 1994, 20 years after its exclusion from the AFC. From then on, Israeli football has been full of near-misses for the Euros and WC. Currently, Israeli clubs only have 1 spot for the CL & 3 for the Europa League.

The Aim of this story/save.
  1. Make Israel a powerhouse - both clubs and internationally
How will I do this?
  • Qualify for Euro 2016 & beyond with the National team
  • Build up teams facilities/junior coaching to get better regens for National Team
  • Rise up club coefficent rankings & eventually have one of the best leagues in Europe (Top 5 at least)
  • Try to sell players to Israeli clubs to improve them too
  • Have a competitive league (not having a team win 5 yrs in a row, etc.)
THE CLUB SITUATION

In Israel, the most popular clubs are known as the Big Four. Between them, they have won every season except 2 since the inception of the current first division, the Ligat Winner (Israeli Premier League) in 1999

Currently, the largest & richest club in Israel is Maccabi Tel Aviv. Chelsea fans will remember them from this year's CL group stage. They have won 3 titles (all in the past 4 years).Maccabi Haifa, the most successful club of the Big Four comes up next. Winning seven titles, they are the most dominant, yet have not won one since the 2010-11 season. After them comes Hapoel Tel Aviv. "Hapoel" translates into "The Worker" and combined with the sickle, represents socialism and the Israeli working class. The club has managed wins against PSG, Chelsea, Milan, & Benfica.Rounding up the Big Four is the capital club, Beitar Jerusalem. Achieving back-to-back titles in 2007 & 2008, their last triumph was the Israeli Cup in 2009. Beitar has fallen under hard times as of late, nearly being relegated in the past few years.
And current champions, Hapoel Be'er Sheva, another club representing the worker's class.INTERNATIONAL SCENE

Israel is in 3rd in Euro 2016 Qualifying in Group B, with Belgium, Wales, & Bosnia as threats to Israel not qualifying. WC Qualifiers will be drawn later on in the year. Key players include Brighton striker Tomer Hemed, CSKA Moscow midfielder Bibras Natkho, & captain Eran Zahavi from Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Conclusion:

I will take charge of Beitar Jerusalem, they are the team that is in most need, so I am going to
upgrade their facilities for better regens, reach Europe, & improve the country's coefficent ranking first trying to rebuild them. The National team will also be under my command. I will try to reach Euro 2016 and hopefully WC 2018 with a good qualifying draw ;).

DEFINITIONS OF TERMS

Maccabi
: Refers to the leaders of the Jewish rebels that took Judea in 164 BC.
Hapoel: The Worker; Socialism & the Working Class
Bnei: Children

I'm super interested in this save, however I think that you kind of undermine the history of the clubs by only listing the number of titles won since the inception of the Israeli Premier league.

For example:
Maccabi Tel-Aviv has won 21 top division titles (as well as 2 AFC champions League wins), Hapoel Tel Aviv has 13, Haifa has 12, and Beitar Jersualem has 6.

Anyways will be looking forward to this! Sorry for being so Nit-picky!

Trixy, No need to be sorry! I'm just a guy that wants to learn more about Israeli football!

UKNOWN MANAGER HIRED FOR BEITAR JERUSALEM AND ISRAEL JOBS.

Spanish manager, Aitor Goikotxea, has Israeli football in the palm of his hand after taking over both, Beitar Jerusalem and the Israeli national team, in the head coach role. Aitor, reportedly has no experience in managing, despite having a Continental A managing license.

Fans must be worried, as a stranger has been hired to rebuild Israeli football, both clubwise and internationally. Aitor's first game in management of Beitar Jerusalem will be against Hapoel Ra'anana.

To all supporters of Beitar and Israel, do not lose your hope in Aitor. Give the young Spaniard a chance to prove his worth, for he was most likely hired due to his ability as a manager. This could serve as a new dawn, a new day in Israeli football. The Rebirth of football in Israel.

Squad Report

Key Players:

Dovev Gabay - ST

The goals of the team. Decent stats all around, hoping to keep him for another year then sell him.

Pablo De Lucas - CM

Our best centre midfielder and heart of the team. If his value rises more, will look to sell him so I can buy a young, uncapped mid/regen so I can naturalize him and call him up (highly unlikely - disregard this).

Jesus Rueda - CB/CDM

Arguably the most vital player to the team. His versatility to play in two positions, and play well in them makes him such a good player.

Boris Kleyman - GK

1st choice GK with good reflexes. Probably stay here for a very long time/better goalkeeper comes along in form of a regen, bargain, bosman transfer, etc.

September & October coming out in a couple mins.

September

Beitar Jerusalem 1-1 Maccabi Petach-Tikva (Ligat Winner)

Argh, so many cards. Behind the whole game, were lucky that Gabay pulled us back to snag a draw in front of a pitiful home crowd of 9,488.

Beitar Jerusalem 1-1 AS Saint-Etienne (Europa League Group)

Delighted to draw in our first game! I thought we were going to be demolished after the early goal, but managed to stay with them and showed what the best of Jerusalem had!

Beitar Jerusalem 2-1 Maccabi Haifa (Ligat Winner)

A Dovev Gabay two-minute brace saved us from a loss against Maccabi Haifa. Vital win.

Beitar Jerusalem 0-1 Hapoel Tel-Aviv (Ligat Winner)
Squad didn't really show a desire to get back into the match. A boring game after the goal.

(I will post the October update [has league table and club coefficents] sometime today, having problems with uploading photos)

October

Beitar Jerusalem 2-2 Beskitas JK (Europa League)

Despite the fantastic result, I am slightly disappointed because we DOMINATED the game and deserved to win 4-2 at least.

Beitar Jerusalem 2-2 Bnei Sakhin (Ligat Winner)

View attachment 146695

Two own goals in a match! We should have won, once again by a large margin, but the squad as a whole lacks bite in front of goal.

Beitar Jerusalem 2-2 Maccabi Tel-Aviv (Ligat Winner)

View attachment 146694

We were behind the whole match, always playing catch up to the superiour side of Tel-Aviv. Happy with the draw against the top club, but we need to start picking up all three points more often, or else we will fade from the title picture, and fast.

Beitar Jerusalem 3-0 Dnipro (Europa League Group)

View attachment 146693

What. A. Performance! Despite the red card, we were the better side going into the break; it was a matter of time before one of our players scored. Vital win that launches us right back into contending for the knockout rounds. The other Israeli teams (Maccabi Tel-Aviv & Hapoel Tel-Aviv) also won, increasing our coefficent total!

Beitar Jerusalem 2-1 Hapoel Ra'anana (Ligat Winner)

View attachment 146685

Finally, a win in the league! This is our 2nd game this month that we have received a red card. I don't know what to do really. Most likely simply ignore them!(terrible idea)

CLUB COEFFICENT UPDATE

A good month in Europe, along with the progress made before, have us accumulating 6.000 coefficent points, & we're only beginning November! Hoping one of our teams go far in the Europa League so we can catch up to Romania, in 15th, to get another CL Qualifiers berth.

COMPETITIONS TABLES:

Ligat Winner:

With the two first months of the season gone, Beitar sits in 7th, due to the amount of draws. However, we have two games in hand to league leaders Bnei Sakhin, and Maccabi Tel-Aviv have three games in hand to them; 14 points in 6 games, the title is theirs for the taking. If we hit a good run of form, we are definitely in the title race. *Notice how Beitar Players lead the yellow cards list!*

Gvia HaToto Al:

Went undefeated in the group stages, play our first quarterfinal leg in a couple days. Hoping for a cup run.

Europa League:

With 5 points in three games, Beitar is flying high, taking 2nd place in Group I. If we can snag a couple more draws, or even a win, qualification can be assured.

NEXT UPDATE: International Breaks.

Does Israel qualify for their first-ever UEFA Intl. Tournament? Tune in next time to Israel - The Promised Land Awaits! To find out.

Nice story so far mate, and you'll be right in contention if you can win your two games in hand. Good luck! :)

Overview

Israel 3-0 Cyprus (Euro Qualifiers)
Good 1st win as Israel Manager, despite the fact that we led 1-0 nearly the entire match, we deserved to take all three points here.

Israel 2-1 Bosnia and Herzegovina (Euro Qualifiers)

Great win against one of our rivals for the last automatic berth. Inching closer to qualifying.

Israel 0-2 Belgium (Euro Qualifiers)
Despite the loss, I can take many positives from this match, as both goals were from defensive errors that can be corrected. A reality check for some in the squad, as they realize that a looming Euro 2016 will not be a cakewalk.

Israel 3-0 Wales (Euro Qualifiers)

The squad certainly responded after the loss in Brussels. Great win against some good opposition, but was it enough to qualify?

OF COURSE IT WAS! ISRAEL HAVE QUALIFIED FOR THEIR FIRST EVER MAJOR UEFA TOURNAMENT, EURO 2016. WATCH OUT FRANCE, SPAIN, PORTUGAL, GERMANY, THE ISRAELIS ARE COMING TO SHOW WHAT THEY HAVE!

*Ahem* Anyways, we were drawn into our WCQ group:

For fans of Israel, the draw was not ideal, but if Italy and Spain can drop points, and if we can maybe sneak a draw with any of those two, Israel could potentially qualify for the playoffs. Hope has not been lost, as this new era of Israeli football could be sparked with qualification to the greatest tournament on Earth, the World Cup. Citizens of Israel, be excited, as the light at the end of this dark, dark, tunnel, is very bright. No more are the times of close-misses of fourth and third place, but an era of successful World Cup and Euro campaigns, defeating heavyweights, such as Brazil and Germany, and hopefully seeing the trophy being showered in blue-and-white confetti. There will be times in which we will all want to give up, but we must persevere like we have done before, and see our countrymen represent the nation proudly. Forward we must go.Forward we must go. FORWARD WE MUST GO.

FORWARD WE MUST GO.

We shall Innovate, Lead, Set an Example - and Win (Israeli Paratroopers motto)

Hey guys,

It is with great disappointment to tell all of you that this story sadly end. As with many other stories, my save file got corrupted. I hope to return in the near future with a new save.
