the striker
I have also tried the tactic with a false nine and complete forward support, and it is way worse. I believe advanced forward is the most productive way to make goals in this tactic.

I'm testing your tactic with a mid-low team recently promoted to BPL, Wed Shef. Will post my results soon, so far i'm having great results on pre-season.

Thanks for sharing!

Yeah, if he is creative. They run toward goal and then AF passes either to left or right and feeds one of the wingers in my tactics. I changed to a regular DLFs, and it's doing good. All three on attack duty would fit a structured, counter attacking style more, striker should ideally do transitions aswell in fluid style, so AF is not good in that respect.

Oh, and you might want to use a regular attack plus a regular defend role in your central midfield, I think it would be more efficient then two support roles that roam...those would more fit a very fluid style...

That is true but if you use version A you have to have a good squad, you might concede some goals but you will score loads like I did with Liverpool.

In version B I use a defence midfielder and he can be set to ball winning or anchor man. I Prefer version B to be honest because you can use it with more teams.

Great! Are you using version B then? Please let me know how you are doing.

Yes, I'm using version B. Finished pre-season friendlies, all wins except one draw against Atletico Madrid.

First match of the League against Aston Villa at Home was a 1-2 defeat. Let's see how it goes...

Are unsure u didn't get this tactic from steam workshop Tottenham 4-2-31? Seems very similar to me

haha yes I am sure I did not get it there. I always make my own tactic and I get nothing out of it to take credit for somebodies work. I will take a look at the Tottenham tactic though.

Should you play version A for the regular opponents and version B for the hard ones if you are a big club?

It is your decision really, if you have a good dmc it may be wise. I never changed the tactic while I was managing Liverpool, I just used version A. But If you are playing Barcelona or Real madrid it is a wise decision to use version B.

About the tactic
In my tactic I let the wingers swap position and if I have a winger that is not comfortable playing the other wing I train him in that position. You don't have to use the "swap wide players" but I feel it creates more goals. Because the AML and AMR will score and create a lot of goals for you in this tactic.

So how do you let the wide players to swap during the game? I looked everywhere and can't find it

Go to the tactic, select player instruction for one of the winger. and if you press edit you can find the option, swap position with.

Great stuff and thanks for your info but the tactic is not for me. At least the A version. I'm playing BVB and got knockout of UCL group stage and straggling in Bundesliga.
I tried doing few things. Like adopting the tactic and adjusted to suit the players but no success. Had an amazing possession whether home or away with almost double the shots most of the time and the opponents scored on me with almost very shot on target.
