Ivorian FA has decided to install Lazio's manager, Dragan Džajić, as the new manager of Ivory Coast's national team.

"I am honored to have the opportunity to work with these young players." Says Džaja.
"Ivory Coast has some fine and talented players."

The new manager's first expectation will be to gain a respectable finish and qualify for the upcoming world cup (2014) in Brazil.

Today is a big day under the new management for Ivory Cost FA. Oliver Bierhoff, Džaja's right-hand man at Lazio, has agreed to lend a hand in constructing the most competitive Ivory Coast squad seen.
Bierhoff comes in with a difficult task of rebuilding the national team with a limited pool of players to work with. With his appointment, Džaja's job will be made much easier.

Injury worries are abound for Ivory coast. After the summer break, no fewer than 5 players (2 center-backs, 2 forwards, and 1 midfielder, all sustained long term injuries. Emanuel Eboué will be out for the next 3 to 4 weeks with a calf strain. Emanuel Koné will be out for 2 weeks with a concussion. Lacina Traoré will be out for 3 weeks with broken ribs. Seydou Dumbia is out with a virus for the next two weeks.
Red Star's forward Bony will be taking over Traoré's spot, Axel Cedric Konan will be taking over for Koné. Three promising youngsters were recalled for the upcoming match versus Mozambique.
