nice story and nice approach - but there are gaps in the narrative; for example - your 3-0 victory away to AGF was Leg 1, yet we aren't told about Leg 2 - we have no idea if youve qualified and then suddenly you are in Group E? (dont even know who is in Group E with you...)

Some screenshots of the game would be a nice touch as well as maybe some league tables etc.

other than that, its a nice back story and I love what you did with the BBC Website - really neatly done.

Woops, I missed out the second leg. I've added it now.
As for some screenshots, I'm currently in January. So what I'm trying to do is put out these quick two month results, then I'll start making more detailed posts with more screenshots and league tables :)

Thanks for the comment!

"We weren't good enough again this month. We went on a great unbeaten streak until Manchester City stole the three points at the Emirates with a last minute goal. The truth is that I would mathematically rather win a game and lose the next than draw both as we would be given three points, not two. We couldn't afford to bring anybody in within the transfer window. We are tied second with Manchester City for clean sheets this season, our defending has been fine. However we have lacked quality up front. Come February I believe all our games are winnable. I don't see why we can't get three points at St. James' Park and another three against Southampton at Anfield. The fact that we have to play Peterborough again doesn't help our fixture congestion either. We also have two legs against Hannover 96 so we'll just have to keep making ourselves hard to beat and I'm sure the goals will come eventually. It is rather baffling at times though how you can score four against the Champions but draw nil nil with relegation candidates." - Jamie Carragher, LFC TV

"The month obviously went unbeaten which was great. Unfortunately the fixture congestion is really getting to both myself and the lads. One second we're in Liverpool and the next we're flying to Germany. It has to be said that we have a very small squad compared to the other teams around us and when you have to play ninety minutes of football every three days, there's no way you can keep rotating a squad as small as ours and avoid playing games where the majority of the players aren't at their best. We have done very well to reach the second round of the Europa league knockout stages as well as the FA Cup 6th round. I was very disappointed to draw against Southampton but the jetlag had to catch up somewhere. The league is always the main priority however that doesn't mean we shouldn't aim to win the FA Cup or even the Europa league." - Jamie Carragher, LFC TV

I'd really appreciate it if people gave me their suggestions for this thread, particularly so I don't become demotivated and actually stick with a save :p
I don't want too many screenshots all over the place but if anyone thinks the posts could do with an extra something (incl screenies) let me know!

Cheers

"Taking away the Merseyside derby loss against Everton, we played very well within the last two months. The loss against Arsenal was disappointing but they are a very good side. We've got another busy schedule ahead of us unfortunately for May until we can all go on our holidays. First we need to make sure we beat Sporting Lisbon here at Anfield to book ourselves a spot in the Europa League final. Next we have four league matches against West Brom, Villa, Sunderland & West Ham. We should be aiming for maximum points. The FA Cup final against Manchester United will be a great match for the neutrals, however I find the irony of a North West derby being played at Wembley most amusing. I think this will be the first North West derby at the new Wembley, so hopefully we can get one over Ferguson's men and finally grab the FA Cup." - Jamie Carragher, LFC TV

"We didn't deserve to lose the FA Cup final, the statistics said we were the better team. We had three goal scoring opportunities which we didn't take against none for United. De Gea was in tremendous form. At the end of the day though we won the more important trophy, namely the Europa League. We'll have to look to guard it next year. As for our final league finish, it was an improvement in comparison to last year. We were much harder to beat this year. We only lost seven matches this season yet finished 6th. It goes to show how tight the quality is between the top ten teams within the Premier League. If we can try and focus on staying hard to beat whilst converting some of our draws to wins next year then I don't see why we can't go looking for a Champions League spot." - Jamie Carragher, LFC TV

Just started to read this story. Missed it before hand. Well done on a cracking first season. Good solid 6th for Liverpool, hoping for better next year. Well done on Europa League win too. Liking the lay out too, don't think it needs much more. Maybe just an update on the league table every month or every other.

"A terrific start to the new campaign finished off by beating the best team in Europe. It's great to see some of the new boys getting on the score sheet and hopefully this form can continue. All we can do is continue to work hard and turn the draws we had last year into wins. I've tried to continue the Liverpool tradition of bringing in youth with the likes of Adam, Will & Yassine. Hopefully they too can keep working hard to impress in training. I'm a firm believer that no matter how old you are, if you're good enough then you're good enough. Just don't tell Alan Hansen I said that." - Jamie Carragher, LFC TV

Nice job so far, especially beating Barca!
Keep up the winning streak ;)

Oh, just an idea, maybe if you sign a star player, do a quick interview or something along the lines with it. Also a big game after match report?

Keep it up!

Getting £3.9m for Spearing was good going. Shame you couldn't get more for big Andy Carroll. Lots of money spent. Hopefully it will work out for the best.
