The upfront fee is, like it says, upfront. Then the monthly payments start immediately after that

@szymonescu: Wayne had had problems with injuries in the last season I had him, along with the fact that Hernandez was unreal he wasn't getting much game time, so his value depreciated quite a lot

Yea i just started and rooney isnt scoring much, young is assisting hernandez and he has 12 in 6 i rotate him with berbatov, welbeck is injured,macheda loaned out and ganso injured for 3 months

I'm sorry but as someone who has played as United and the most I spent in over 2 seasons was 45 million overall without any 48month transfers, I have to ask how are United's finances not royaly screwed after the spending you have done? Any time Gill inject money into the club for me, it a loan of cash not money from the Glazers, either you had a change over or United are gonna get destroyed by that spending.

I'll be amazed if something doesnt give.

Trust me when I say I'm not retarded, and that I play Hernandez in the right position and everything.......but for me h'es score 1 in 13 lol! He's had 2 injuries over 2 months each time and i'm only half way through the season lol! I'm hoping he'll start banging them in soon :)
 
One game after I posted the previous post he scored a four and set one up......Going to be a good season :)




HE THEN GOT INJURED AGAIN! THAT'S 5 MONTHS OUT OF 7 HE HAS BEEN INJURED!

WHAT IS GOING ON! LOL!!!

Ditto this, I think the OP needs to just admit that he has been using FMRTE to make those signings.

I can`t even see them going through with the fee`s spread out over x months. The debt built up must be huge.

I can honestly say I have not cheated in any football manager game.
I have had cash injections of £100m+ every season so far which has allowed my spending (I am cutting back now as I have a young team and the finances are getting better :) )

I will post a picture of the finances if you would like, I have already shown transfer history.
The board have made no indication that I am spending more than they wish, so I doubt they will fire me.

your a lucky sod! 100 mill per season. wish the board would give me that, god i would be happy with half that ;)

have a general query regarding the mexican marvel.

in my first season hernandez was on fire. 2nd season however he cant hit a barn door.

so i was wondering what individual settings best suit him. as im hoping that by slightly tweaking them it will reignite the fire first seen in season 1.

this is aimed at followers of this thread as each member use different settings with various degrees of success.

any advice given would be amazing
 
I use poacher - attack.
Mentality - 95% attacking
Roam - Yes


Then I have 3-4 players in the midfield who have "through balls - often" then it's just up to Hernandez to get to the ball.
(Make sure his composure and finishing stats are good, off the ball as well. Then have a preferred move of "places shots")

do you go into his settings tho and alter it further like run from deep run with ball closing down etc or leave them as default ( poacher role )
 
I wouldn't have it as run with ball, he's a finisher not a dribbler. All you want him to do is run and shoot

so im thinking

attacking - 95% ( as you suggested )
creative freedom - normal or little
closing down - own half
run with ball - never
run from deep - sometimes
thru balls - never
cross ball - never
wide play - normal
roaming - yes

i also play 4231 deep withe wingers as inside forwards ( classic style ) and 442 ( TC style )
if i put wingers/inside forwards and amc on thru balls often.

would this work?
 
That's pretty much what I have.
Just play about with it and find the best results for how you like to play
 
has anyone tried him as a DF on attack duty??? i have him there now and he is playing out of his skin. i hope he keeps up his goal scoring form till the end of the season
