Still no where near worth it, he's amongst the best DM's in the world, he should be valued at around £25m+ in my opinion, Hleb and Caceres may be decent players but it's not worth it for Liverpool, unless of course they seriously need the money for financial reasons which is a possibility but I still think they'd hold out on this offer for more money instead of player exchanges.

I would value him around £20M and wouldn't sell him for anything below £25M and thats the least.

I have a bad feeling Liverpool will accept due to Javier moaning and wanting to leave to join a "bigger club" but what a loss he would be for Liverpool

How much money would it cost to replace him with another player of his calibre?

Probably £30m so thats how much they should sell him for.

There IS no-one of his calibre. The holding midfielder is a specialist position - unglamourous but totally crucial, & Mascha's the best at it - no question.

Something will have to give though . I mean - he's in England & his family isn't - that can't be good for him & I think we'd be morally wrong to force him to stay. Having said that, Barca may be taking advantage of his emotional state to keep the offer low, hoping that the board will cave in. I hope not, cos I've got a soft spot for them & like them do well againt eveyone but LFC.
 
I'd rather get £0 when his contact runs out [After next season?] than take £12m now.
 
The problem is he dosnt want to play for us again and he wants to leave and there is no point keeping a player if he dosnt want to play because he wont put in 100% effort. I think £12 million is an absolute joke and we should be holding out for £20 million maybe more.
 
I want 30 million. Even that is below my valuation of him to be honest. Hodgson would say no in a heart beat, but it's not up to him
Hodgson has said he dosen't know where Javier is...Me reckons he's in Spain with Barca, *****
