I try not to sign anyone under the age of 25 at most unless its an urgent need to.

The January window has been and gone and this was the only buisness I really bothered to do apart from a young lads going out on loan.

Cech and Welbeck are also leaving on free transfers at the end of the season.

I actually let my DoF handle most of my transfer dealings. I just give him a list of targets and let it go from there. He also gets to make offers for young players and offers out anyone I got on the Loan/Transfer list.

Just getting rid of the players I have has gotten nearly 600k pw wages off the bill and managed to save myself around 400k pw taking into account the new signings.

Already eyed up a few more to shift in the summer who are on massive money, Ozil and his 350k!! pw to start.


As far as the tactic goes the only issue I'm having at the moment is my strikers seem to blow hot and cold. I'm sure that'll work itself out though, I might try and go classic big man little man when I replace Welbeck.

Yea most definitely mate - in my Zaragoza save I do the same - and seeing a player like Marcos Alonso I would say apart from his dribbling skills he would be a great player going forward and even his finishing above the rest in this position. - Players with a more defensive look - is not right for this position - you know the type that has plenty of positioning tackling marking etc - thats more like a defensive player out wide and would defeat the purpose of going forward.

The retrained Winger - Still has a lot of demands to make it successfully happen - meaning so he can become Something you would want on the pitch as the 1st choice.

What I want to achieve - retraining a winger

The Mentality - Offball - Workrate - Decisions - Composure - Flair - The Technical - Technique - Dribbling - First Touch - Crossing - Average Finishing - Average Tackling - The Physical - Acceleration - Agility - Pace - Stamina

Probably a big task to do this successfully - So the second best option is WB's who has a little bit of everything - Marcos Alonso Is a solid option

(Aubameyang missed a pen and we just collapsed)

Ended up the 2nd top scorers in the league, joint 4th best defence and the highest average possession.

I won't bother with any player stats as they're not really accurate due to using different tactics early on.



All in all a half decent season considering I only plugged this tactic in mid way through.

In my opinion you can't compare it like that - Luiz Phellype 1.3m signing for Zaragoza a TM-A kind of type - I used him as SCL right footed player - scored goals like he was a superstar in one season he scored 50 goals in la liga - in general I will call him a Goal Machine as a TM-A. I got other people to try him out as well - and they agree with me that he's special as a TM-A - He's one of these players you will see goal of the year from 50/60% of his goals- striking the ball to the corners with fierce power - This is how he does for Rapid Vienna Currently.

Later on in the save I was using Poacher regents to see how they would perform - They were in general much better in their attributes than Luiz Phellype and simular to the likes of Neymar - Fekir etc - the left poacher got me 61 goals in a 150 goal season in la liga - while the other got around 40 and the shadow above 30 - dlp around 50 assists But these players were mean mother ******* - so I would compare the poacher and the TM-A to an equal level.

If you have both types in your squad - you can always edit the tactic to SCL=TM-A SCR=Poacher or reversed

I found very difficult to find some BBM.
All the midfielders I see seems better DLP thant BBM. Even the Zaniolo that you use.
How did you choose between the two roles? And did you have any filter to search players in the market?
 
High Goalscoring tactic

I tweaked the strikers to roam from position and changed one of them to Advanced forward as my strikers are more AF than poachers and usually that will result in a better build up.

Its a high scoring tactic with lots of chances. Defence seems to be an issue for me as my wingers are still in the process of retraining.
Wing backs are to defense as most of the goals conceded are conceded from the wing as their midfielders spray the pass from one side to another.
However, the build up and final third is a joy to watch.

Its the first tactic for me that reached 20-30 Shots on average for each match.

Will update again once I have natural wingbacks.

Their isn't an exact science - you will never be able to get a b2b with 15+ in all required attributes its not possible.
you can try and get the next best thing - I look for DECENT workrate - stamina - jumping reach - decisions - composure - technique - strenght - longshot and finishing - 13+ Normally that's a quite complete midfielder if some of the skills are less it doesnt mean you cant use the player - he might grow - you can attempt to train him if he got PA left.

Plenty of DLP's in the world - but specialists and more complete midfielder types that can play as a DLP
