Joining the regen race - Rekindling Magdeburg!

As KLIPPYBO, I7IDanny & RTvD are all hunting for the best ever regen to grace the planet I've decided I wanted in on the action, but unlike them starting at super powers with amazing youth I'm taking over a fallen giant, FC Magdeburg.

Magdeburg are 1 time UEFA Cup Winners Cup....Winners as they beat AC Milan 2-0 in the 1974 Final as a team from Eastern Germany. Times have been tough and they've fallen down the leagues and now fins themselves in the 4th tier of German football where they finished 18th and last last season, and they would have been relegated had it not have been for a league reformation.

Oh, and they have one other claim to fame...

They were the team who's fans made the arrows after they hadn't scored in 5 games!

I decided to make this more of a challenge by not signing any players, I have set it so my Head of Youth Development can sign any young players, but, well, he hasn't found any.

A smashing win to start off the season as the 4 goal haul puts us straight into 1st!

Outclassed early on the the First Division side as we get knocked out at the first hurdle.
