Spain, Italy, the Netherlands and Germany have already qualified for next summer's European Championship in Ukraine and Poland. Six more group winners will join them, plus the runner-up with the best record against the teams finishing first, third and fourth in the standings, with the eight other runners-up playing off for the four remaining slots. He completely rights of Republic of Ireland in our group even though 2 wins guarantees us second and if Russia drop points we top our group? Who would have thought Armenia would be expected to win away to us

Way to go, Germany! Perfect over 10 matches! Spain is the only other squad in the tourney to win all of their group matches; they played 8.

It's not a surprising result, really. Half the German squad are from Bayern, and we all know how well FCB are doing so far this year. Still, I really hope the Germans can go all the way and take the Euro 2012 and FIFA 2014 championships. It's been 15 years since they won the European Championship, and 21 since they took the WC. Too long, in my book. ;)
