JOSE MOURINHO ESQUE
(Yes i am a Chelsea fan and Disciple of JM)

Before i get started on this tactic, there's a few things i'd like to highlight. Firstly, this years game is quite challenging to say the least and so it should be as being a Football Manager is not easy. There is no quick tactic fix anymore and you have to work for you results (as you will see with this tactic), so this will not guarantee you success. Also i set myself as a Sunday League Footballer which affects how your team respond to you.

FORMATION: I have taken inspiration from JM with this and after playing around with 4-2-3-1 and 4-4-1-1 i found the later to be the most effective. The aim with this tactic is to keep defensively solid and create as many chances as possible in a quick fashion (You will not dominate possession with this tactic) You will notice the player roles are quite similar to what CFC would line up with in RL and i only chose these because i had a good understanding of how they would work.

TACTIC: I chose Attacking as i felt this was the best option to replace the sort of football i wanted to play, but i have started to try Counter in the last few games & it seems to work well! (Maybe better that attacking)! I started off the season with a 'Normal' Defensive Line but teams were getting in behind my midfield on occasions so i moved it to 'Slightly Higher' which seems to work slightly better (i concede most of the goals from crosses which seems to be an issue for everyone at the moment). The rest of the instructions are designed to make the team hard to break down and very proficient in attack. if you wanted, you could play around with the passing if you prefer more possession but I'm not sure how it would affect the team going forward.

PLAYER ROLES:
GK -Get the best GK you can! Passes short to Defenders.
RB - This is a very Important position. Will bomb up and down the touchline overlapping the RM like Ivanovic does and will provide crosses and the odd goal. So needs decent att/def stats. Azpilicueta has been a beast for me.
LB: A little more defensive minded that the RB but does a similar job, I bought Criscito as he was good defensively and more experienced than Baba.
CB: With this years game, id say these are probably one of the most important positions, so get the best players you can, Pace is a massive bonus.
RM/LM: I chose the Wide Midfielder role as for me it represents a great balance between attacking and defensive duties. Both will be influential in attack and drop back to help full back in defence just like a Jose Mourinho team. The RM (The Willian Role) is a little more reserved and will make lots more assists than the LM (The Hazard Role). Now, Eden Hazard is the best player at CFC on FM16 and he's been my best player. The guy is an absolute machine, scores goals and assists.
CM: These two roles are what i perceive as the the Matic/Fabregas roles. The CM(D) will win the ball back time after time and lay it off the the more creative players but he will support attack as well. RPM: This is a VERY important position. You need your most creative midfielder in this position. He will dictate so much of the teams play that is vital he has good vision and passing. Whenever Cesc is injured, i never create as much!
AM: Now i know Oscar probably isn't a Shadow Striker but i feel this works best with Diego Costa's role! This position can win you games so it important he can create and score as he get's frequent 1v1's.
ST: I love this guy in RL and on Fm16! He is a beast. Whenever i watch this position on FM16, it plays exactly like Diego Costa. Drops a little deeper to link play and will look to get on the end of through balls from RPM/AM and Crosses from FB's

NOTE: I HAVEN'T EXPLAINED IN DETAIL WHICH PLAYERS YOU NEED FOR THESE POSITIONS BUT AS THEY ARE BASED ON CFC, YOU SHOULD LOOK TO GET SIMILAR PLAYERS BUT ITS IMPORTANT YOU TRAIN THEM IN THE ROLE THEY ARE PLAYING, AS YOU CAN SEE ITS TAKING TIME FOR MINE TO LEARN THEM.

RESULTS (MY FAILURES ARE DOWN TO POOR DECISIONS BY ME)
PL: Won by miles, 2 games left to play as i post this
CAPITAL ONE: Lost to Arsenal on penalties in 3rd/4th round after they equalised in last minute. Dominated game but keep attacking till end with young team and it cost me.
FA CUP: Got to semi's and was 2-0 up at half time to Southampton and lost 3-2. Combination of poor team talk/so many missed chances and playing around with tactics mid game!
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: Went out to Dynamo Kiev (hahaha) in QF. 1-1 at home after so many missed chances and they get one chance from a Cross! Tried to play a 4-3-3 away but it didn't work. Changed back to this tactic and dominated. Got to 1-0 John Stones weak back pass intercepted by striker and Antunes scored a wonder free kick! Finished 2-1 to them.

QUICK NOTES: OI'S to Assistant Manager, I keep training on Balanced to improve Playing abilities and Match Prep is up to you. Ive been playing around with it but you could just listen to what your AM recommends. Mostly Att moment for game I'm favourite and Def positioning for tough games. Also if you struggle with the attacking mentality, try counter like i mentioned. It looks promising

I WILL FNISH OFF WITH SOME SCREENSHOTS OF PLAYERS AND RESULTS. THIS TACTIC WILL NOT GUARANTEE YOU SUCCESS BUT I HAVE SEEN SOME AMAZING PERFORMANCES WITH THIS I THINK THIS COULD BE A COULD PLACE TO START FOR PEOPLE STRUGGLING TO GET SOMETHING GOING.

This is a long term project for me. I need to change a few players to to suit the system and when my current players get fully confident with there roles then i could get better results. My main advice to my fellow fm's is to give it time with any tactic they are using. It's impossible to get instant results. Watch the games and tweak it where you see the problems are.
