I've started a journeyman save and ended up with Telford, unfortunately it only lasted a season in which I resigned, now the problem is I can't get another job.
Could it be the leagues I've selected (England,Norway,Brazil,Argentina,Holland,Germany,Italy,Scotland,Spain), do I need to select a more obscure league if so, which do you suggest I load.
Cheers

What do you have your experience set as?
Maybe you are applying for jobs that are out of reach for your reputation?

Sunday league and no badges tryin to be realistic, but if it carries on I might be tempted to start a fresh and give me a couple of badges

When starting unemployed with no experience, I always find easiest to find jobs in Scandinavian or Eastern European leagues. To be honest, Eastern European leagues aren't much of a challenge or fun (I guess Ukraine or Russia may be exceptions), but the Nordic leagues can actually be quite interesting. Sweden for one has quite a bit of depth as well (3 leagues I think?)

Edit: Also, if you resigned in June/July and are not getting a lot of offers, you will get more midway through the season. A lot of managers have been snatched up beginning of the season and underperforming clubs who just sacked their managers start to get desperate. For example, I started in Poland, quit in June after 2 seasons, wasn't getting anything. Around November I was getting interest and interviews from a few Bundesliga 2 teams including HSV, and quite a few SkyBet Championship/League 1 teams, including Derby. This particular save, I didn't start without any badges, this is just an example of the better offers you can get mid-season.

Mmm interesting, mite look into Scandinavian leagues just anything to get my rep up, how did you get on in Poland?

Like I said, I did start with a couple of badges for this save, but it went well. Started in the second division, got promoted first season, then finished 5th in the top division the next season. But honestly, I just did Poland to get my rep up so I can move on to bigger and better things, there's not too much challenge there, as you can see from my immediate success. Legia outspends and outplays every team year in and year out (think they won 4 league titles in a row when I left) so winning the league title would've been a long-term goal and I had no intention of rotting in Poland for so long for such a small prize.

Do give Scandinavia a go, I've spent a long time in Sweden one year and Norway in another, they were entertaining enough for me. My very first FM save (2008) I started in Sweden (I wanna say Pitea...or something like that) and I had a blast.

I started unemployed also, no badges. The Key is to stick with one team for a couple of seasons, do well with them, If you can, get them to fund a coaching course for you. Some problems you may have with that is, they haven't got the funds or they need you in training.

I started in Portugal in the Group divisions with Sousense, then moved to Berwick Rangers, stuck with them for 2 seasons, 2 promotions with them, managed to move up the coaching badges also. Had a brief spell with Tunisia National Team, then going to Liga Adelante with Rayo gaining Promotion, also getting them to fund some more coaching badges. Then moved to Bolton who were league 2, got them promoted. Then Moved to Fulham, spent two seasons with them in the championship, 2nd season I got them promoted, it was there where I managed to get most training for coaching badges. Now I'm with Spurs in the EPL. I'm in the year 2021, and unfortunately Spurs aren't as good as they used to be, but I am getting more coaching badges, and turning them around, team and Financially as well.

If anything just keep moving forward, move to bigger club to bigger club, better league to better league. Making a name for yourself.

Hope this helps some what.

I know this has been covered before, but where exactly do you go for the coaching courses? Every thread I've come across either said your profile, or board request, but I don't see anything in either of those, or the Home screen. Even if I have the league title secured, or during the offseason.

Its on you home screen on the "my profile" drop down menu

Thanks, I was pretty sure I tried that but I'll look for it there again next offseason.

Just to be sure, by my profile drop down menu, you mean the one with profile, information, retire, holiday options, correct?
