So this is what I did:

1) downloaded bad possession 180 goals v6 1541 (I think)
2) removed float crossess instruction
3) made team mentality attack instead of overload
4) changed formation to 4-2-3-1 Wide
5) gave one CM a CMd role and duty
6) made CD's a stopper-cover pair
7) made sidebacks a FBa role and duty
8) removed all player instructions
9) played three competetive matches in the middle of my season with my Colomiers team in France, two league and one cup match
10) won all three matches with a very nice goal difference
11) saved tactic

I'm actually going to try your tweak since I tried the original in my journeyman save and managed to guide a 20th place Swansea to 10th. Hopefully this tactic could improve that finish.
