ROY KEANE could be set to snub a £2million testimonial from Manchester United.
The Celtic midfielder has been granted the game by the Red Devils after 12 years' service.
However, it is believed that 34-year-old Keane has not yet decided whether he will make a return to Old Trafford.
"Roy is due a testimonial but hasn't accepted yet," said Michael Kennedy, Keane's solicitor.
It's understood that Keane has reservations about testimonials and knows how football supporters feel having to pay more money towards players who have earned a huge salary from the game.
Currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, Keane could be back in the squad for the CIS Insurance Cup semi-final against Motherwell at Hampden next Wednesday.
In the meantime, Celtic have been tipped to provide the opposition for Alan Shearer's testimonial at Newcastle.
