It took me 4 seasons to get this work. I always play FM whit 4-2-3-1 tactic (nothing else do for me) and in FM16 it was hard to get it work but here it is! I can tell you that poacher will score a lot of goals even if he is not world class. Poacher will be top scorer in the league every season! Guaranteed! He will get low crosses from right winger and left attacking IF gives scoring support and EG will give defend splitting through passes. There are good tactics in this forum but there are no decent 4-2-3-1 tactic. So if you are looking for good 4-2-3-1 tactic you should try this!

You can use this as standard, control or attack. Depending who you are playing against.

You also need to train at least these two preferred moves for your poacher: try first time shots and move into channels.

No. Try killer balls preferred move and shoot more often for EG though...

Looking at the tactic the only think I don't like is the right fullback defending.....

What is the logic of having three "defensive" players in right side (W support, BWM and FB Defend) and three more attacking (FB support, AP, IF attack) in left side?

I am not judging you, just asking to get the idea/advice as i struggle to understand tactics.
