Looking great thus far!

Took me a felt century to finish squad building, but I just like to have an organized squad with decent backups. Loving it again! :D

Missed champions league last season by just 1 point with Andrich's tactic, already started to rampage.....

I wasn't happy with the CCCs and shots I was giving up either with two Registas so I switched one to Anchor Man and things have gotten tighter on defense.

The 343 just with those two changes to the midfielders. I started out the season using shorter passing but direct passing has been creating way more CCCs.
 
gonna play my last couple of games with the 343 in my everton save now. anyone got any suggestions on which team/league i should test this next?
 
Maybe Germany mate, would prove this tactics works in the top 4 leagues in europe, so they should work in every league. Don't know which team tho, Hamburg, Schalke or Wolfsburg may suited quite well to this.
 
im experimenting with some tweaks to the front 3 in the last 2 games. adding move into channels and roam from position to all 3 seems to improve their effectiveness. will test this long term in my next save

all in all an impressive season. check out the key passes in the premier league stats. think we could have scored more if we had more quality in the SS positions.

already have a few tweaks in mind for this tactic and my next test save. tested a few in the last couple matches of the season after winning the league and they look promising. gonna try and play narrower, with the CWB's playing wider. also gonna set AP to roam from position and SS's to move into channels.

Looking forward to seeing the results of your tweaks. I think my next one will be trying to make this formation work with a slower pace and retaining possession. It works so well for my 3 striker formation, I know I can find a way to make it work similarly with this formation.

that would be awesome mate! coz i think the key to this is having two tactics, one fast paced and direct t o play counter against bigger teamsand the other short and slow against weaker opponents. hope you have that breakthrough mate :)

That's funny that was exactly what I was saying in my head. You need the more "defensive" setup with direct passing to punish the bigger teams or teams that play with very aggressive, attack-oriented tactics and a possession one to break the backs of the small teams who try and park the bus get lucky.

Also, I know you've stated your dislike for Germany but the Bundesliga would be a good place to try and test the possession version. A lot of German teams have really weird, defense heavy tactics. There's one I encounter on my Leipzig save that has 4 in the back line, 2 DMs, two wide midfielders, and then two strikers.

i know its just a friendly against a really crappy team, but the new tweaks are looking really promising. had a player sent off on 30 mins. and the offensive football is looking a lot more consistent
