So i'm looking for a new Advanced Playmaker in my Man Utd save as Mata has been injured for long and his attributes have greatly diminished. Here's my formation

I'll be looking to retrain "the chosen one" to help Reus on the left and also assist in the Deep-lying Playmaker role when chosen.

P.S Money is not a problem as i have £90m+ to spend

James Rodriquez is better than both and he is more suited to that position i think.

CAM = Eriksen.
CM = Kovacic.

Eriksen is really amazing in the CAM position. Arguably one of the top 5 best, thanks to the combination of his PPM's and stats.

If you look at technical stats alone then yes, James is probably the best, but look at his PPM. Shoot hard + shoot often, if you think those PPM's are better than Eriksen's, then you and I have nothing to discuss.
