Kovacic transfer will take 2 years to go through

I just signed Kovacic in July 2010 and its saying the transfer will go through in June 2012. Does anyone know why?

It's because he is only 16 years old. The same is for Romario.

he has to turn 18 before he can leave. The same rules apply to Brazilians

Is that actually a rule in real life?

As an example I'm just looking up Fabio and Rafael, and I paraphrase from Wikipedia: "The twin brother signed from Fluminense in February 2007, but were unable to take part in matches until they turned 18 in July 2008."
Guessing that's the same rule?

Is there a database edit that can change this? I have the "No Work Permits" edit and I was wondering if that would work?

Its a real rule, yeah, chelsea have signed Lucas Piazon from Sao Paulo but they have to wait a year until he is 18 before he can officially join them.

It's not work permit related, it's intrinsically tied to the nation rules by default in the game database.

I didn't expect it to be, but was just wondering if that mod might have removed it too.

Does anyone know if there is a mod that has done so, just out of interest? Finding all these great Brazillian regens aged 15/16 isn't as good when you can't sign them for the next few years!
