This thread is about me trying to bring back Huddersfield to the big time.
This thread started at Huddersfield where i tried to take them to the premier league and failed. In my third year with the club i finished 7th narrowly missing out on the play offs. Despite my best efforts i was unable to bring in better players, giving 0 for transfers and was expected to challenge for promotion, didnt have any wages and lost on on alot of key signings so i stepped down after three years...Trying not to see this as a fail but maybe the next step?
The Appointment
08/07/2008- After the scandal that found manager Lee Clark ******* with Stan Collymore (A) Huddersfield town have appointed former pro Kris Jackson as there new manager. Despite having no previous managerial experience Jackson comes in with all his coaching badges and an outstading reference from Town's fan favourites Denis Law and Peter Jackson.
Fans will be hoping the former Motherwell,Barnsley and Walsall manager can bring the clubs eight year low in league 1 to an end.
Finances
a bank balance of 1.2m is pretty decent and a wage bill of 41,991 however i am using 42.254 which will need to be addressed.
Like i mentioned before they pay 1.7 per year in rent and have 3 different bank loans paying 18k a month for all three which isnt bad.
I also managed to get Man Utd as my parent club paying out 89k a year, Hopefully this will prove to be a very smart move when/if we get promoted and can attrect half decent players.
Transfers
With the tight wage bill i found it very hard to attract players but i think the experience of Ian Walker will prove to be a good move. The rest are squad players who i feel will do a job when called upon.
So Far..
What a start ehh? nice 5-0 win vrs promotion chasing Millwall. Also got a nice win over Leicester. Away form has not been great but hopefully i can tweak things about. Also not happy with a few dodgy results vrs Stockport and a dodgy penalty shoot out win over Oldham.

Updates coming soon for anyone who cares to read this very long and boring rant.
Also like to note the club had 16000 season ticket holders. Out of a 24500 stadium in league 1 i think thats pretty impressive.
