RAAL La Louivere, with the moukoko 4231 tactic became the Belgian Jupiler league champion for the first time in its history and also won the Belgian Cup, finishing the season with a double trophy! 🏆🏆

Hi everyone,

A lot of you have been asking whether I’m working on FM26 tactics or adapting older ones.

To be completely honest, I haven’t properly touched the game yet—and that’s intentional. Right now, FM26 is just bad. I genuinely dislike almost everything about it: the menus, the tactical UI, the interaction squares… it feels like I’m playing a mobile version of the game.

But what really kills it for me is the meta. Using a three-at-the-back meta is one thing—but a strikerless meta? That alone tells me everything I need to know about the state of the game. The match engine might look more “realistic” on the surface, but the core logic underneath is fundamentally broken.

All of this completely kills my motivation to play.

I play FM to have fun—but also to go deep. I dont take the "normal" route of just being a manager, I like understanding how the game actually works under the hood and the underlying logic beneath it. Every FM has loopholes, and my approach has always been to research, test, and break down those systems so I can share what actually works with you. Most of that comes through high-efficiency tactics, higher scoring output which then leads to better player development. That’s how the game makes sense to me.

Right now, FM26 doesn’t.

As long as a strikerless system outperforms using an actual striker—the most fun and important position in real football—I have zero interest in investing time into it.

How can a no striker tactic score more goals than one with a good forward? You don't even use a F9, you just use Attacking Midfielders..

Until that gets fixed, I don’t see myself playing the game.

Once FM is back to a state where having a proper striker actually makes sense again, I’ll take a serious look at it. Until then… try to enjoy it if you can.
