I think you've summed Trajont's personality up perfectly in your second last paragraph. :D

Very, very good update there. Brilliant. :D

Glad to hear it! Now to rake in the readers..

Officially raked in! Very good update Joss, like the way you're bringing the French into it! Also, using the Sky Sports News screenies always helps to add another dimension.

...just a wee idea for a plot development later on, it seems as if the assistant is very much a mentor - could a "teacher vs pupil" scenario develop in the years ahead, with both men managing different clubs? Would be a unique development...

Nice story so far but I have to say the teacher vs pupil idea sounds good

Very good writing Joss,
and good graphics (Y)
Still following

Anyone still interested in this? I could maybe bring back Slaying the Dragons rather than this if people (+Joss) want me to?

Whatever you think.
We havn't really seen enough of this to compare it to Slaying the Dragons.

EDIT : On second thoughts I really want to see the end of Slaying the Dragons.
Thats my vote.

Yeah but no-one ever seems to comment on this one so I wondered if it would be wasted effort.

Personally I liked the side story in Slaying the Dragons.
I can't comment for other people but I think a lot of people are following this, just not commenting.

Hi! I don't mind what we do Ed, i'd like to see where this one goes.. but if you feel this isn't getting enough attention etc. then we could return to Dragon Slayers.. if you'd really rather, you can just do Borderline Madness and stop this one too - it'd be a pity though, and if you did do that, i might, MIGHT start my own one too... But see what people think.

This really isn't popular enough, and if I was to bring back Slaying the Dragons, the 550 odd posts it's got just rakes in readers... Hmmm.

EDIT: Joss, I'd like to see you do a story.

Lads, I'd just like to say you don't need a poll. If you enjoy writing this story continue with it. It doesn't matter if you get 1 comment or 1000s -- it's your story. You shouldn't write for other people -- write for yourself. This story will pick up followers as it goes along because the writing is good. What you learn by completing this story will be invaluable to your development as writers :)

I enjoy it more if other people read/appreciate it. That's just the way I am.

My personal opinion is that I prefer the Dragon Slayers story, mostly because of the familiar database + players, but also just because it's great, and I don't think I was the only one that was gutted when you said it would be stopping. Whether you bought it back to just finish it off, or bought it back properly, would obviously be up to you, and also, if you prefer writing this one, then stick with it, as I will still be following!

It's your choice of course -- but remember, not everything you write will attract / interest people in the beginning. Some will bring instant success; others will fail terribly; and then you'll have the slow starters that mature into something huge as time passes by. If you need comments to keep you going just think how satisfying it would be if this thread brings in the masses in a few weeks. The main success of a fledging writer is whether he finishes projects and learns from them. Ultimately, do what you feel is best for you. Writing is a hard learned craft -- that's why most best selling authors are ancient, lol :) Keep up the good work though, whatever you decide :)

p.s. just remember, even 'Lord of the Rings' was rejected at one point :)

I appreciate the hard work you put into all your stories. I have followed this one put haven't commented on it. So here we go: Fascinating story eds , the writing is so entertaining.

Like this story and will be following, but must admit I liked the Dragon Slayers one more, if only because I like the English league more :p

Cheers

In all fairness Eds, it will be hard to compare the two until this one kicks into life a little more. What I will say is that the background in this one is superb, and it's pretty well poised. Most people won't follow/comment fully until you've "achieved" something, whereas with the Dragon Slayers you've got multiple great achievements already behind you.

Basically, it's your call - do what you want to do, as Carine says. I ended up bringing back Thierry Zvunka because I wasn't enjoying writing the other one anywhere near as much - and if you're enjoying writing, it will naturally be more enjoyable for people to read.

Just my tuppenceworth. :)

I personally want to see the end of Slaying the Dragons, you can always come back to this story and it is a very good story. You should do what you want to Ed.
