Lack of soccer complaint - bug?

I have a weird one here. I've just had a player, Antonio Valencia, in my ManU save who came to me complaining that I did not keep my promise of giving him first team soccer.

That really surprised me as we are mid March and he's played 24 games since the start (4 as sub). But fine, I've got enough depth in his area to let him go so I told him I'd let him go. That ended the chat.

Now, the day right after, I get a report from the assistant coach that says that after speaking with Valencia he believes that the player is no longer unhappy with regards to his playing time and is happy to move on and concentrate on helping the team.

I'm lost here... is this a bug?

Surely it is. Report it to the SI forums, hopefuly you have a save from just before? That's what they'll likely would want to have.

Yeah, unfortunately, I do not have a save from before I think. I'll have to check.

If not, then I'll just keep an eye out for it to re-occur.

I've had the same thing twice. I refuse to cave to demands for football, so it all worked out.
