i accidntally deleted the story portion when i edited it...lol.

The team just played and won in 3rd qualifying round against Brescia. 2-2 in regulation, 5-4 on penalties.

haha...

The team ended the last season in 17th place in Serie A. We were 20th for most of the season, but Di Maria nad Zarate managed to pull the team out of their slump and help us stay in the top division. The pre-season did not go too well. Eight new players ( Kamenar, Boulahrouz, Arango, Thiel, Karacan, Daeseleire, Bieder, Meszaros) were introduced to the club, and with only 3 pre-season matches played ( 6-1 loss vs Udinese at home, 2-0 loss to Juve at home, and 1-1 draw with Arsenal at home). The season kicked off with a 3-1 loss to Sampdoria. Pazzini had a great game, scoring 2 goals in the process. Matuzalem scored the lone goal for Lazio with an amazing shot from 35 yards out.

I use JP WOODY's Clough tactics for this game.

dude, you raped Lazio:O not that its going any better irl for them either XD

lol i am playing as lazio, not sampdoria

Game 2 of 2011-2012 Serie A season for Lazio sees them traveling to Attleti Azzurri d'Italia in Bergamo to face Atalanta. With both teams pointless after their first game of the season, a win could see either one of these teams take up an early mid-table position. Game got off to a pretty slow start with teams trading chances constantly up until 21st minute of the match, when Tomasso Rocchi's fabulous strike from the endge of the area opened up the scoring. Biancocelesti were disappointed to lose the lead only 2 minutes later, when Jeremy Menez capitalized on Asmir Begovic's mistake to level the game at 1-1. Matuzalem scored 5 minutes later to make it 2-1 for Lazio, but the game was brought level by Tiberio Guarente's strike in 37th minute of the match.

Both teams went into the dressing rooms with an even score. Lazio came out with vengeance right from the onset of the second half. Mauro Zarate and Juan Roman Riquelme both hit the post one minute apart from each other. After 66 minutes played, Zarate capitalised on a mistake made by Atalanta's striker Jeremy Menez. Menez's poor judgement of a pass caused his team the victory in this match. Despite scraping up an important victory here, Lazio were outshot 18-11 by their oponents.

Final score: Atalanta 2 - Lazio 3

Rocchi (21st) 0-1
Menez (23rd) 1-1
Matuzalem (27th) 1-2
Guarente (32nd) 2-2
Zarate (67th) 2-3 FINAL

With the new Serie A season drawing near, Lazio will be looking to improve in standings from the last year's dismal showing. Italian football magazine has the latest news on Lazio's situation.
