League of Legends [Free To Play]

Hello guys,

I have recently been playing a DotA-inspired (Defence of the Ancients, for those who weren't Warcraft players) arena game called League of Legends.

The game revolves around teamplay, with two teams (3v3 or 5v5 matches) going toe-to-toe with the primarily aim during the battle to eventually destroy the 'Nexus' which is the main component in the opponent base.

What is fun about this game is how strategic it can be. There are a range of Champions (your playable character) available for choosing, and it rotates weekly giving you plenty of variety. If you wish to lock down a particular Champion permanently, then you can do so by spending points you earn during matches.

Anyway, I am posting this thread because I'd like to see if anyone is interested in the game, and to hopefully get some people together who fancy playing it.

Most of the people I know from WoW play either this, Starcraft II, or HoN. So it must be super nerdy, think I'll pass.

Yeah, the League of Legends and Heroes of Newerth seem to be sucking up the playerbase until DotA2 is out.

This actually looks pretty decent, I've seen it before just haven't really had a good look into it, I'm free tomorrow so I think I'll try this and see how I like it.

Is it possible to have a group of people on a team? Or is it just random?

I tried that. It seemed like a complete spamfest. I am sure it is more tactical than I give it credit for, but after reaching level 5 on it (around 5-6 matches), I can honestly say I prefer the DotA style arena games such as LoL and HoN.

Have you read any of the guides on Leaguecraft? Who have you been playing with? I can play with you, but I need to be able to insult you via microphone every time you do something wrong.

I've skimmed a few guides. All the character guides seem to expect you to have a million mastery points and all glyphs etc so just played a couple of games against the bots with Taric to l2p instead.

Hey guys, I know any of you who play this game, play it for a laugh and a bit of fun, however I belong to a european gaming-clan.. as sad as it is.
