In my second season with Fulham (newly promoted to Prem) and looking to bring in a left back who is solid at the back but good going forward too. Willing to spend up to 10mil but the cheaper the better - any suggestions? Kieran Gibbs is on the transfer list so could always just snare him.

Robertson from Hull is the best imo, but i think will go a little bit more than 10 mill. try

Unfortunately couldn't get Jorge, he was transfer listed by request for just 4mil but wouldn't enter negotiations with me as he wanted to go to a bigger club (couldn't even tempt him with the captains armband). He went to Benfica.

Ended up getting Robertson who also happened to be transfer listed by request. Cost 8mil, rising to 14 with add ons.

That's a steal for Robertson. Jorge has better long-term potential but Robertson should immediately be one of the better leftbacks in the Prem. Consistent performer and good in both defense and attack.

In a season with Hull, I ended up taking an offer of over 30m total from Manchester United in the winter window first season for him. Which I immediately regretted. I was also using a formation with no wide midfielders, so the wingbacks did a ton of work and that resulted in monster ratings.

For the future have ZECA in mind also (Plays for Santos)

Jetro willems is awesome, if robertson is that cheap then go for him. other options worth a look are players like douglas santos and alex telles

Long-term, I would go for Jorgé with a solid, more defensive minded full back in reserve. Jorgé's bravery of 9 is his only real blemish, so I use Baine(33) still for my bigger games.

Should have maybe gone for Charlie Taylor, Good at the back and really good going forward. Seen him transfer listed/leave on a free on a few of my saves as he always wants to leave Leeds. He's also homegrown, so another plus.
