anyone had succes with it if so what system did u use

never used them, even because there aren't many with quality...

Never used it personally;

A sweeper; A designated back-row player intended to be used as a ball-control specialist [definition]

So i assume you should do it with maybe him, 2 CB's and a DM or 2 WB's since he is a free mover who links up the midfield.

Mexes is ok at it but its rarely used in modern football, its much more common to have a similar type of player behind your midfield line.

im leeds in prem need a tactic works week in week out that is strong all over

I think the libero in FM might be similar to the role Busquets has here, I've never tried it though. Someone said on facebook they played as Barca with Biscuits as a libero

lol. the only true libero in barca, well he was in barca, rafa marquez.

Actually I have adopted a formation with the libero . I read the Tactical Theorems guide and decided that I wanted to emulate the Germany side of 1990 . Whilst the formation described in the guide is the same I used , I changed the player roles because things just weren't working out very well . I didn't actually pick Germany , instead I selected Italy , sort of similar style to the old Germany . The tactic itself hasn't done so brilliantly for me . I have always breezed through the qualifiers but I got dumped out early in both the world cup 2010 and euro 2012 . I have high hopes for world cup 2014 though . I am 4th in the world rankings .

The formation works very well against the 4-4-2 but it often fails against a 4-5-1 hence it is quite unpopular these days . The midfield could get overrun in that situation and there is no need for 3 central defenders to to look after one striker .

If you want good liberos , I can think of some of my Italians - Felipe and Salvatore Bocchetti .

Here is a look at the tactic

Libero is a hard position to use. There are not many sweepers on the game to start with, and one with stats good enough for a Libero is difficult. I just stick with my conventional 4-4-2 with Wingers.

If you find a good one they can open a different path, in support it can allow you to both fullbacks because you will have 3 cbs but in the attack when starts making runs into box most of the time he will never get picked up but the big probably is finding a good one and a back up and future star I treat as a only if you have the player

Good Libero needs -
Dribbling, Marking, Passing, Tackling, Anticipation, Composure, Concentration, Creativity, Decisions, Positioning, Teamwork, Acceleration, Balance.

Retrain Yaya Toure, Arouca(Sao Paulo) or Christian Chivu. They are the most suited to that role on the game, but need retraining as a Sweeper.
