Licene Key Activation problems

I am new to this site so please accept my apologies if this is in the wrong forum. I have had the FM10 since it first came out and until now i have not had reason to update (i had version 10.0) in order for me to join a friends network i have had to download the 10.3 patch. After unzipping and adding to my FM10 folder i tried to start up a new game. Unfortunately i got a page that said that my free trial period had ended and asks for an activation key. I still have the packaging and the booklet which at the back has a 25 letter/number code which is what i thought it was asking for. I have put this key code in but keep getting an error code of -1003 and then another error code generic uniloc error code 42. Can anyone help please

NB: This is a Kosher copy that i have bought and played for many months and not a pirate copy or anything and i still have all of the original packaging etc

Contact SI customer support, they can actually help you, if what you say is true (I don't doubt you at all)

check you installed it the right 10.3 patch, the one that is for boxed copy. uninstall it them re-install it. or use steam install and it will do it automatically. if that doesnt work do what the above says and contact SI.

Just to be clear, whether your copy is legal or not. if you ask for a crack you will be perma-banned.

Im having the same problem. I bought it and have original packaging i just had to uninstall the game and reinstall it but cant get the patch working

uninstall, then reinstall it by steam, steam will update it automatically
