Derry City came from behind to beat us in a massive 7 goal thriller but at least we ended the month with an impressive win over fierce rivals Cork City.

That is one **** of a youth intake, you got an awesome Box to box and Ball winning midfielder, got a striker who can become beast in future and a keeper.

Btw try training False 9 into a poacher or DLF or AF or whatever you like. False 9 won't score much unless he's Messi

Yo know yourself Cool that until you turn pro it will be difficult to get a realy top drawer youth player. As soon as you turn pro all your 5 star players will drop to 1 or 2 star players. Happened to me as Bangor city in last years game. If you qualify for Europe and get through a round or 2 in qualifying you will have a real shot at getting enough cash to turn pro and that's when the save really takes off. Best of luck!

He had a player from his first youth intake till the end in his last Limerick story! Stars didn't matter, he kept scoring for fun even after 12-13 years.

I do think that *** may have been the exception to the rule though. Looking at all 3 players Cool highlighted I don't think that any of them will ultimately develop in top players for him. They will be good enough for the first few season but then if/when he turns pro other youth intakes in later years; with the benefit of always having trained ft will end up being better than this years intake.

Yeah man i know that, the thing with *** was that i had to play him at 16 because i had rubbish strikers and he just hit it off!

So we finish one place higher than everyone predicted at the start of the season and had a brilliant second half to the season after all of those draws mid season.

So we had the second best defence in the league but we were no existent in the goalscoring stakes despite my usual attacking football.

As you can see Behan had an amazing first season, he was our top goalscoring including 16 league goals had the most man of the matches in the league and one of the highest average ratings.

So all in all i am happy with my first season with Limerick, we win a trophy, come 3rd and get European football next year, I think next season we have to push for the title and do well in the Europa League qualifiers to help our finances.

I was pretty gutted to lose so many of my key players especially Folan after the season he just had, also Bossekota, Bradley and Oleary were all young and full of potential, I guess we will have plenty of money in the transfer window for wages now after seeing so many key players leaving.

So we dont get any sort of a transfer budget again this season but i did decide to go for a title challenge to get a bit of extra wage budget.

So after a total 13 players left with 9 of them part of the main squad i brought 8 players in on free transfers.

That will teach me to post updates at 5.30 in the morning before work, i think i was suppose to put despite being a Liverpool fan lol! Trying to get Jason Mcateer back at Limerick too after he was my assistant manager last time!
