So along with the games we have already mentioned we won all 3 league games this month including a comfortable victory over Sligo Rovers.
We beat Shamrock Rovers in the Senior Challenge Cup to set up a semi final against Finn Harps who were my big rivals/ bogey team in last years save but i have only played them once before in almost 9 years this time around.

So we win the league this season at a canter with our main rivals Dundalk struggling we had no real challenge and are currently 14 points clear with 5 games in hand and 8 more league games to play next month.

So i signed a couple of emergency players as we had a lot of games in October and i wasnt given the option to cancel any games despite most of my first team being on Internationals

It was one **** of a lucky win as PSV raced into a 2 goal lead before i took Captain Maher off who was having a mare of a game and his replacement Leckey smashed in a brace along with David Silva grabbing a goal to seal the 3 points.

10 wins in a row this month despite the weakened team playing for a few games, With the Irish league having to finish in October we had to play all our catch up games we played an incredible 6 games in 11 days! With Maher on International duty the likes of old man Shane Long grabbed a couple of winners and Leckey got some goals too.

So after catching up with all those games in hand we end up an impressive 29 points clear at the top going a second season in a row unbeaten whilst Dundalk manage to scrape 4th spot with Cork City in 3rd and Sligo Rovers Runners Up.

Im gutted we lost this match after we went into an early 2-0 lead we got destroyed as PSV turned on the style with 5 goals in a row. Leckey gave them a late scare with a quick brace in the dying minutes but it wasnt enough to get any points.

There a brilliant team though, Not like the 2013 side, they have 3 Europa League Titles along with 6 league titles since 2013 and there best player is a Brazilian guy called Baggio valued at ?40million plus!

His the current Limerick Captain and has been with us for 5 seasons since joining from Chelsea on a free transfer and has played 257 games for us and at only 25 has the potential to be an all time great at Limerick.

The young English man is one of the best players at Limerick but is constantly moaning about the fact i fined him for getting sent off and has never got over that, Hes only got one year left on his contract and is refusing a new deal but in the 2 years since he joined us from Chelsea he has been amazing in 106 games.

The Portuguese youngster has only been with us for a season but has a big future ahead of him after his free transfer from Porto and has recently made his National Team debut.

The Young Irish man has come through the ranks at Limerick and has recently broke into the National team at 22 years of age he has already played 287 times for Limerick including 143 games in the league not far off the current all time record set by Pat Purcell.

Hes one of the Limerick all time greats after spending nearly 3 seasons on loan at Limerick from Man City he eventually agreed to join them when his contract expired and since his first loan spell at Limerick has scored 198 goals.

Barry is another Limerick Academy Product who has been with the club for 6 seasons but only really come into prominence in the last year or so. He has also just made his International debut getting on the scoresheet too.


ST - Thomas Maher

The 3rd Youth Intake player in my starting 11, Maher is probably Limerick's greatest player of all time and is still only 23. Hes racking up the appearances whilst he is the all time record league goalscorer for the club and is closing in on almost 300 goals in all competitions for Limerick.

Honourable mentions have to go to Leckey who may well steal Maher's place next season up front and Val Feeney who is more of a utility man as he can cover several positions and still gets 50 odd games because of it.

So the first big money departure was Vincent Kompany joining Guingamp for around ?37k, His contract was up in the summer and he wanted 16k a week to renew despite not playing many games any more and being 35 so i let him go.
Freeman joined Nottm Forest for ?1.2 Million as he refused to sign a new contract and i needed to cash in on him with less than a year left on his contract.
Finally i sold youngster Eoghan Ryan to Tottenham for ?2.4Million in a big deal. He is a future star i have no doubt but the fact he is a left winger means he would have been always in Harrison Barry's shadow so i thought i might sell him before his potential is ruined or his contract is up.

4 wins in a row this month with some big wins in the league over first Title Rivals Sligo Rovers and then against local rivals Cork City.
We thrashed a couple of teams by 9 goals in the cup competitions to end the month with Leckey on fine form with 9 goals over the 2 games himself.

So i only brought the one player in a young English Prospect who can play RB/LB role which we needed cover for with Adam Matthews getting a bit fatigued recently.

So i sold 3 fringe players for a combined ?1.2Million, None of them were getting near the squad so i thought i would cash in on them whilst i still had the chance.
Burns and Nuttall were both strikers with big potential but as i only play one upfront and have Maher, Leckey and even Boadu who can play in that position they never really stood a chance.
Blewitt was a backup DC who never really got a chance again as he was around our 5th choice CB and was refusing to sign a contract extension.

Despite utterly dominating the game we only managed to score just before half time. They struck back twice in the second half early on and left us staring at defeat.
Out of nowhere Leckey decided to pull his finger out and bash in a quick couple of goals to win the leg and get the man of the match award.

A dominant win at home after our nervy 1st leg with Leckey scoring an early brace to seal the win whilst a couple more late goals by Carmo and Samuelsen seal the 7-3 on aggregate win.

8 wins in a row this month in the domestic side of things including ending the month on a high with a 9-1 demolishing of Bray Wanderers.
I have been rotating Maher in a bit more at the moment with Leckey getting a bit tired and Maher has happily stepped up to the mark and smashed in 12 goals this month.
We are simply getting too good for the league now as even the likes of Dundalk and Sligo Rovers are supposed Title Rivals are not match for us anymore as we thrash Dundalk this month 4-0 in the league.

12 Points clear at the top at the moment but that must be the earliest we have reached 100 league goals! We have an incredible 102 league goals in 23 games thats an average of just under 5 goals every league match.
