View attachment 385010

Top Goalscorer - Denis Behan - 21 Goals

View attachment 385009

A fantastic return for Behan in his first season with the club scoring 21 goals in 41 games with an exceptional average of a goal every other game.

Player of the Year - Daniel Galbraith

View attachment 385008

14 assists and 10 goals for the young Scotsman who was also the only Limerick player to win any awards.

Galbraith Wins Young Player of the Year Award

Young Player of the Year - David O'Leary

View attachment 385006

I said at the beginning of the save that he was our best rated player and he certainly delivered with a superb season, I just have to remember to keep his contract ticking over as i remember last time round losing him on a free transfer.

Right so thats my first season in charge of limerick all done and i have enjoyed it a lot! 5th place and a Trophy is a good foundation to start my career on and if we make the right signings for the off season i can see a top 4 finish next year for definite especially for how well we were playing in the last couple of months after the tactic change.

Great to see this back and a great first season, keep it up!

Thanks mate, Having fun with it but need to have an evening were i can sort out the transfers for next season as i havent had chance to look through it all for a couple of days whilst the Man Utd save is a bit more pick up and play now im so dominant.

great to see this story back :)

waiting for the german wonderkid regens to take over!

Thanks guys, played the save a lot tonight and its going really well, will try and post a few updates tomorrow morning before work.

Season Expectations

View attachment 383767

Right so i had a little room in the wage budget but i couldnt go too crazy as the finances is going down the toilet at the moment, Im hoping i can hold out and get a top 3 finish and some European football and not need to sell anyone but the likes of Curran and Galbraith have had offers from English clubs for around ?400k plus but i dont want to become a selling club.

Mark Salmon - CM

Shaun Patton - GK

Daniel Purdy - ST

View attachment 383763

So we couldnt really bring in any major signings but a couple of players to shore up the defence and a couple for the future will do as i think it was more about how well we did at the end of last season showed we didnt need to change too much especially in the attacking department and most of our young players being another year older.

So despite coming 5th last season were predicted to only come 7th this year! Finance wise we have to make the top 3 or this story could be over before it even gets going.

2 huge wins against big Northern Irish side Linfield and i think this season is going to be a lot better than the media expected!

Four 2-1 wins in a row in the All Ireland Cup matches and we have sealed a place in the Semi Finals were we will face Sligo Rovers.

Feb/Mar Fixtures

View attachment 383748

So although we have stormed the All Irish Cup we have struggled at the start of the league season as we lost to Sligo Rovers and Dundalk the two teams touted for the League title this season but after that managed to win 3 league matches on the bounce with young winger Val Feeney in fine form for us with a goal in all 3 games.

All Irish Cup Semi Finals V Sligo Rovers

1st Leg

View attachment 383743

What a terrible second half for us! We were 3-0 up at half time and cruising but a shocking second half saw us draw 3-3 on the night and leave the tie still open for the second leg.

2nd Leg

View attachment 383742

So after scoring first Sligo Rovers came back into the game and went 2-1 up but we had a Behan goal to thank for the equalizer before youngster Feeney grabbed the winner yet again late on to secure the victory and reach the final.

April Fixtures

View attachment 383741

7 wins out of 8 this month as we progress well in the Munster Senior Cup which might as well be given to us now as the only other league team in the Cup Cork City suffered a big shock defeat so we are the only team left from the top two divisions in the cup.
We also won all 3 of our league games this month with our attacking front of Behan, Gaffney, Curran and Galbraith on fine attacking form and the defence seems to have shored up too.

League Table

View attachment 383740

So currently sitting in 3rd place where i want to be come the end of the season but if we win our games in hand we could go top but thats a big if!

O'Leary Out For A Month

View attachment 383326

May Fixtures

View attachment 383325

So we started the month with a big win over St Pat's before title contenders Sligo Rovers came along and destroyed us! It was 4-0 down and i went on an all out attack and it didnt pay off, we then also lost to Dundalk seriously denting our small hopes of a league title challenge this season.
We did manage to go on and beat fierce local rivals Cork City 3 times in a row across 3 different competitions with some big wins.
We then added two more 2-0 wins to the month which ended a lot better than it started! Our attacking foursome of Curran, Behan, Flood and Feeney are incredible at the moment.

League Table

View attachment 383324

So despite loosing to some of the teams above us we are still up in 4th and if we win our 2 games in hand we could go joint top.

For some reason my player stats screenshot isnt working so wont have one this month

Injury Prone O'leary Out Again

View attachment 383322

June Fixtures

View attachment 383321

So we started the month by thrashing Shamrock Rovers in a high-scoring game before then suffering a bore draw against struggling Longford Town.
We then managed to rattle of 3 close but important victories which see us make the Munster Senior Cup Final and the League Cup Semi Finals.

League Table

View attachment 383320

So after the draw to Longford we down in 3rd place, 2 points off Dundalk and Cork City whilst we are comfortably ahead of Sligo Rovers in 4th.

Player Stats

View attachment 383319

With our goals spread throughout the team i dont think we will be winning the Golden Boot anytime soon with Behan our top league scorer 6 goals off the top at the moment.

Great form and a good league position. Also good to see your finances doing well.

Couldnt Sell Curran

View attachment 383185

He was all lined up for a big ?550K move but i just couldnt press the button and sell him, he has been very good for us this season and i didnt want to sell him and the form for the whole team dip because of it.

Munster Senior Cup Final V Carrigaline Utd

View attachment 383184

So thats the second trophy of the season won along with my 3rd trophy since i took charge! I do love the Irish leagues purely because every other game is a different Cup game.
It was my key front 3 that were the difference today and can you believe Flood bashed in 4 today after last season he couldnt buy a goal for the first 6 months of his Limerick career.

July Fixtures

View attachment 383181

Well i rested a few players before the big Final and it showed as Bohemians thrashed us as we put up little resistance, after the big cup win we didnt fair much better with Drogheda beating us with a late goal.
We managed to end the month on a better note by smashing 7 past Athlone before sneaking a win against St Pat's.

League Table

View attachment 383179

We could drop down to 4th if Cork City win their game in hand but we have games in hand on second placed Sligo Rovers so could leapfrog them at the same time whilst Dundalk are riding off into the distance now an impressive 10 points clear at the top.

Player Stats

View attachment 383173

Behan is down in 4th for the Golden Boot whilst youngster Feeney has the 5th highest rating but bar from that our most impressive stats are 2 of our players getting red cards so easily.

Tracy Out For A Month Whilst Top Goalscorer Behan Will Miss The Rest Of The Season!

View attachment 382938View attachment 382937

August Fixtures

View attachment 382934

So we start the month with a big win over Sligo Rovers in the league and then we knock Dundalk the current main title contenders out of the League Cup!
Our own league form goes down the pan after this match though as we draw 2 games 3-3 and then Dundalk thrash us in the league.
We then beat Longford in the league and Shamrock in the Cup 3-1 before getting well beaten by our local rivals Cork City and end the month with a decent win over Derry City with Curran grabbing more goals this month.
Im glad i didnt sell Curran after the month hes just had and its even more important now that Behan will miss the last couple of months.

League Table

View attachment 382933

So we are currently up into second but we do have a game in hand on a few of the other teams but i think the title is beyond everyone else now with Dundalk so far ahead but 2nd place would be brilliant for a second season.

Player Stats

View attachment 382932

So Behan sits in 3rd but for how long?

Young Prospect Quirke Sold For ?725k

View attachment 382774

So Quirke was a good prospect and has played a couple of times for the first team but when you can negotiate for him and get that sort of money i had to let him go! He will practically pay for the running of the club for a couple of seasons. Also i have like 15 potential first team prospects and they all cant play so better off cashing in on some of them before they leave on free transfers.

League Cup Final V Sligo Rovers

View attachment 382769

So thats the second trophy this season and my 4th since taking charge of Limerick in a 9 goal Final thriller with Flood again on fine form with 4 goals.

First League Cup In 13 Years

View attachment 382764

September Fixtures

View attachment 382763

So we started the month with a triple header against Sligo Rovers as we first off drew with them in the Challenge cup before then losing the replay but we got our revenge in the highscoring League Cup Final win.
We then struggled to a draw against fierce local rivals Cork City before ending the month with a big 5 - 1 won over Bohemians.

League Table

View attachment 382762

So Dundalk have all but won the title now but were up in second a point clear of 3rd place which would be a massive deal to finish that high

Player Stats

View attachment 382761

So Behan is still up in 2nd but is a massive 9 goals behind Dundalk's Billy Mehment.
