April Fixtures

So we start the month with a draw against fierce title rivals Dundalk in the All Irish Cup after a 3 goal collapse. After that we beat St Pats in the league before knocking Dundalk out of the the Cup and setting up a Final against bogey team Shelbourne.
We won our remaining 5 games of the month with a couple of easy Munster Senior Cup ties and 3 league wins including beating Dundalk 4-1 in the league!

So were a point behind Sligo Rovers at the moment with 2 games in hand as Dundalk have a poor start to the season down in 5th.

So old man Tabb is in the top 5 for assists whilst a player i hadnt even mentioned in my best eleven is our top league goalscorer with former Sligo Rovers AMC Lee Lynch having 8 goals so far this season.​

A dominant display winning 3-0 with Maher on form with a brace as we win back to back All Ireland Cups and become the All Time Record Holders for the Cup with 3.

7 wins in a row as the draw was in the cup which we won in extra time, Maher has been in dominant form this month with 9 goals including a brace in the 4-2 smashing of title rivals Sligo Rovers.

1 point ahead of second placed Cork City with 2 games in hand on them and 3 games in hand on most of the other teams around us.

We have 4 of the 5 highest average ratings in the league so far this season but thats about it with none of our plays near the top of the goals or assists charts.

My board won't invest in my poor youth facilities but they're happy to invest in my average training facilities

My board just spent over ?3million on undersoil heating so we dont get affected by adverse weather despite the fact this hasnt happened yet in 5 seasons and we dont have any games over winter!
 
Another gripe i have with this game is throw ins!

Ian Bermingham has17 throw ins but despite me setting up for long throws he doesn't take a throw in and just throws it straight to the right back! I'm training him for long flat throws so hopefully that will sort it!

I'm now 47 games unbeaten in all competitions, despite being 19-4-0 in the league i'm still only 3 points ahead of Dundalk who are 18-4-1!

To get to the magi 50 unebaten i have to avoid defeat by Legia and then a double header against You guessed it Dundalk :/

My run has mainly been down to the partnership of Jorge Galan and Will Keane, they've started 33 games together and between them have scored 61 goals!

Ha just been offered Bermingham the LB on a free transfer just a minute ago! Dundalk are pretty good on my save they do rubbish in europe but really well in the league and with all my added competitions end up playing like 15 games less a season than i do which im sure cant help for fatigue in the league near the end.

he's been averaging 7.12 for me, he's a decent player!

Do you know if training him to take Long flat throws will make him lob it in their rather than just giving it to their players?

And Dundalk are a very good team on mine, im spending about 7x what they do on wages but there's not a lot of difference between us

Boadu is back as i manage to extend his loan from Man City after he missed most of the first 3 month loan deal out injured and he repaid me with 5 goals in 3 games and 4 wins on the bounce including knocking Cork City out of the Munster Senior Cup setting up an easy final against Everton (IRL)

Dundalk may not be top but there strikers sure as **** know how to score along with Cork City putting in a strong showing thanks to two of the strikers being in the top 5 goalscorers in the league this season.​

Whenever i take a screenshot of our unbeaten record i always lose the next game! Sligo Rovers beat us in the league at the end of the month along with a stuttering draw against Drogheda United.
We did win our other 3 league games in impressive fashion with attacking midfielder Kurtis Byrne in fine form this month with 4 goals this month.

A dominant performance at home as we win 3-0 with Feeney on fine form with a goal and a man of the match display to boot.

2nd Leg V Partizan - Away

Partizan have the better chances and win the game whilst we have more possession but cant do anything with it but go through to the Playoffs 4-2 on aggregate.

We draw Kobenhavn for the second year running in the Playoffs and will hope to perform a little better over the two legs than we did last year with the side a lot better.

After going 2-0 down early on we manage to get one goal back straight away but have to wait til the second half to score the equalizer from Boadu the Man City Loanee to put us in a strong position for the second leg.

I hate being the worst team in the champions league, it's frustrating losing so many games, my first group game broke my 54 game unbeaten steak :/

On last years game, did you find it easier to sign better players the further on you got on your game? i can't seem to sign anyone better than past it premier league players!

I think im doing better earlier on than i was last year and if i wanted too i could sign a couple of players worth 5Million plus which i could barely do 10 years in on last years save.

So along with the European games we beat Sligo Rovers to make the League Cup Final along with thrashing Shamrock Rovers in the league and then back to back league wins over fierce local rivlas Cork City.
We also beat Lonford in the Challenge Cup to set up a Quarter Final draw against Sligo Rovers.

Its really down to us and Dundalk now as were 2 points clear of them with 2 games in hand whilst we have played 5 games less than 3rd placed Cork City with Sligo Rovers nowhere to be seen.

We went into the lead early on thanks to an own goal before they grabbed a late equalizer to send it to penalties.
But we managed to win the tie with Man of the Moment Boadu scoring the winning penalty and securing our 3rd trophy of the season.

So we started the month with a decent win over Athlone before Shamrock absolutely destroyed us in the league but at least we then went on to beat Sligo Rovers in the Cup.
Lyon comfortably beat us in the Champions League in France but i was pretty happy to grab a couple of goals.
After winning the League Cup we managed to get our form back on track with a couple of comfortable league wins.

The league is all out of whack as we have played as many as 5 games less than some other teams whilst Dundalk sit top of the table after our poor recent league form a point clear of us but we have 2 games in hand on them.

Just a small 7 million in your pocket :P, brilliant though that money is always so helpful when building these little clubs into future giants
