Well we made it difficult for ourselves in a very busy month, as we played a ridiculous 11 games in one month getting thrashed in both of our Champions League group games but we made up for it by destroying our opponents in the Senior Challenge Cup Semi Finals and setting up another Final V Dundalk.
Our league form was all over the place as we lost to Derry City and then beat Dundalk before going on to lose to them as we played them in back to back league games.
We then put 6 past Shelbourne before just about beating Derry City and gaining revenge on our defeat at the start of the month to them.
Sligo then put a serious dent in our title challenge coming from 2-0 down to win 3-2 before we scored 11 goals in our last 2 games with some big wins with Kurtis Byrne scoring all 5 goals against Longford but was it enough to secure the title.

League Table

View attachment 378897

We did it but only just as we win the league for a 3rd time in a row but by the lowest amount of points so far as we had games in hand pile up and then made it hard for ourselves losing silly games.

Maher comes second in the end as Dundalk's striker gets a rather incredible 31 league goals in 33 league games.

Great transfers, and some good results, keep it up.

Senior Challenge Cup Final V Dundalk

View attachment 378725

Delaney made it a nervy affair after getting sent off before half time but we managed to secure the cup with 2 second half goals with Boadu on fine form.
Were now on an impressive 15 Cups and Titles since i took over 5 seasons ago.

At 22 years old Feeney is surely due a National Team call up after 20 appearances with the Under 21's and another decent season with us scoring 23 goals with another 23 assists.

Young Player of the Year - Denzeil Boadu

View attachment 378710

24 goals and 13 assists for the young on loan Man City prospect who missed quite a few months out injured and im desperate for him to be back on loan again next season.

Behan still has the most goals with 120 but youngster Maher is gaining on him quickly on 90 goals already.

Ha ha i dont even know myself! We just attacked on set pieces and defended the rest of the time, the strikers had a mare of a game really and our centre back getting man of the match sums up how good our defence was against them

Winter Transfer Window

Season Expectations

View attachment 378691

So a fair bit of money to play with but i decided to only bring in a couple of players and wait til a lot of players contracts are up in the summer.

Players Out

So former first team players Kelly, Doyle and O'Leary leave as they start to drop down the star ratings, It was a hard choice with Kelly being my most used player since i took over but Nolan has fit in well and in the midfield i have one of my new signings along with the youngster Delaney.

Players In

First off i managed to get Boadu back on loan for another season after a decent first year with us that was disrupted by injuries.

Feb/March Fixtures

So 7 wins from 8 to start the season with some amazing performances as we progress in the cups but slip up against Derry City in the league.
Maher has been in ridiculous form for the new season with a mental 12 goals in 8 games so far this season as he looks to have hit a rich vein of goalscoring form.

League Table

View attachment 378560

Looks like we are in for a tough month with Sligo and Dundalk in fine form to start the new season with 5 wins from 5 for both of them so far.

Player Stats

View attachment 378559

Obviously Maher tops the Golden Boot chart whilst Boadu tops the assists chart having set up most of Maher's goals.

April Fixtures

View attachment 378556

7 wins in a row this month with the lethal partnership of Boadu and Maher on fine form with a further 12 goals between them this month.
The highlight of the month has got to be beating Dundalk 3 games in a row in the league and All Ireland Cup despite the fact they are supposedly the second best team in Ireland behind us.

League Table

View attachment 378555

Ouch! A crazy 8 points behind Sligo Rovers with 2 games in hand but their new boss Steve Bruce has them in fine forming with an incredible 10 wins out of 10 so far this season but our next league game is against them so lets go out and destroy that stat.

Player Stats

View attachment 378554

Same as before with Maher topping the goalscoring charts and Boadu topping the assists charts, I know its early but could this be the first year a Limerick Player wins the Golden Boot

Really unlucky that you're 8 points behind considering you won all you're matches this month.

View attachment 378224

May Fixtures

View attachment 378223

Oosh! Another 8 wins in a row this month as we progress in 3 other competitions along with the All Ireland Cup win and 4 league wins.
We started the league fixtures this month with an impressive 3-0 win over Sligo Rovers who had won all 10 of their previous games in a row this season in the league.
Right so Maher and Boadu might be a little bit of a crazy good attack force with 21 goals between them this month alone!

League Table

View attachment 378222

So despite losing to us Sligo Rovers are still on top form for the rest of the month and are now 5 points clear of us but we have 2 games in hand on them but this is all but a two horse race for the title with Dundalk starting to fall away.

Player Stats

View attachment 378221

Maher tops the Golden Boot chart and has already got his goalscoring bonus for the year along with Boadu who has 9 goals and 9 assists in the league already.

Good month, if you win you're next 2 games you're top which is good.

We also achieved 4 wins in a row in the league right before the Champions League Qualifiers begin in July.

So were only a point ahead of Sligo Rovers having won our games in hand but Sligo have been in amazing form with 15 wins from 16 games having only lost points to us so far this season.

Maher still tops the Golden Boot chart whilst Boadu has moved up into the top 3 goalscorers.

A demolition job as they dont even have a shot let alone one on target whereas we have over 40 chances and score 6 of them with Galbraith, Maher and Boadu all grabbing braces.

2nd Leg V Valleta - Away

View attachment 378194

Not as dominant away performance as we let them have a shot, they dont get it on target but it still annoyed me as we won 2-0 with Boadu getting another goal and young striker Sam Byrne coming off the bench and grabbing a late rare goal.

In all my years of playing FM i have never even heard of this team so its always nice to play a new team as we draw Norwegian side Stromgodset.

Looks like you have a real title rival in Sligo Rovers. Glad you overtook them :).
Stromsgodset could be a fairly tricky tie, but I think you'll get past them.

Its nice to have a domestic rival as it will keep the save interesting for me as we wont be going 20 odd points clear within the first few months, Stromgodset matches will be up in a moment.
