I am a Swede with a big love for English football. I've had some success in this game with Stoke City which is the team I support irl, but now I wanted a bigger challenge. I decided to pick a mediocre team in the sluggerleague that is The Conference. I noticed Lincoln City have never played in the highest tier at any time in their history, and thats exactly what I want to do, write history.

You can expect to see some unorthodox signings because I will look into the Nordic leagues for talent. At the start mainly Iceland and Finland because of low cost and low wages.

The goals with this save are to eventually reach the Premier League for the first time in Lincoln Citys history and to win as many league and cup-titles I can along the way.

Also..I really like this club badge :)

Summer Transfers 2013

Some loaness to get a little squaddepth and a decent right back which I lacked. Then I also bought three quality players who hopefully can carry the team to promotion!

August 2013

Great start to the league, Halldorsson tearing defences apart with his pace and Matt Rhead muscles in the goals for fun.

Starting eleven without injuries

August Fixtures

Our defence crashed and burned at Cambridge but other than that we grinded out the wins and they were all well deserved. At Dartford we missed a pen and like seven CCC's, they didnt have a single shot on target.

View attachment 396461
Unfortunatly we suffered injuries to three key players this month..

?rjan R?yrane had only been on an english footballpitch for 20 seconds before he got sent off after lashing out at a defender. He got a three match suspension and a one week fine. In his comeback after suspension he scored the winner against Darford, so hopefully he have learned his lesson.

Halldorsson player of the month with one goal and eight assists in six league games.

Deadline day summer 2013

I felt that we really needed to strenghten the central defence and managed to wrap up a 4k deal for AB's Casper Gr?nn in the last minutes of deadline day.

September 2013 fixtures
Daylight robbery away at Hereford in a game we dominated but our wingers just decided to waste all chances. Other than that it was a decent month for us

Very close in the top. Matt Rhead was our player of the month with five goals and three assists in six league games. Ben Tomlinson is now back from his injury but it will be hard for him to reclaim his spot in the first team as Matt Rhead is in deadly form atm.

Matt Rhead player of the month award
Well deserved.

October 2013 Fixtures

Another decent month, loss against a stong Kidderminster side and a dissapointing draw at home to Tamworth, we have stopped scoring but atleast we are not bleeding at the back anymore. Injuries starting to plague us.

View attachment 396428

Chairman stepping aside, exciting to see how much money the new owned is ready to spend.

View attachment 396427

Stupid red card, three match ban and two weeks wages, which he accepted.

View attachment 396426

Injuries

Rowe got to play 25 minutes since his last injury and now his season might be over. The injury to R?yrane will surely affect us going forward.

We are through to the first round in the FA-cup and will face League 1 side Oldham away. We will surely give it all we've got!

View attachment 396424

League table

Still tight at the top but we have an eight point gap to the teams outside playoffs which feels good.
Halldorsson our player of the month with three goals and one assist in five games.

November 2013 Fixtures

A fantastic performance against Oldham in the Fa-cup was followed up by a horrendous game against Southport. Then we dominated against Forest Green for 70 minutes but just couldn't score and out of nowhere they scored three. After that game we rallied and got back on track with four good wins in front of our own fans. I know the Macclesfield game is in december I just got a little ahead of myself.

A much deserved win against the League 1 stugglers.

View attachment 396309

Board takeover and transfer embargo, just hope it ends well.

View attachment 396313

We drew Peterborough at home in the second round. They are a much better side than Oldham and it will be tough.

View attachment 396317

Both these guys got to play three games since their last injury before getting sidelined again.

League Table

We are sitting pretty up top but we've played more games than the chasing pack.
Halldorsson was our best player this month aswell with three goals and six assists in ten games.

December 2013 Fixtures

A very good month for us starting with an almost classic game against League 1 side Peterborough. We were 4-1 down at the break but substitude Tomlinson came on and amost got into the Lincoln History books but he wasted his stoppage time chance to get a hattrick which had earned us a deserved replay. After that game we went on a roll with five straight wins. Crazy game away at Halifax where we had to play 25 minutes with 10 men as Tomlinson got injured and no subs left. 4-1 victory over rivals Grimsby was the highlight of the month.

View attachment 396214
Another stupid dismissal for a horror tackle which seems much more usual in this league than higher up the ladder.

View attachment 396213

Board takeover

Dont know what's going to happen. Hopefully I dont get sacked and get a big sack of money instead.

View attachment 396212

View attachment 396211

Month ended with Tomlinson getting injured again, very unfortunate as he just found some form.

View attachment 396210

League table
Halldorsson our best player once again, beacuse of injuries I switched him to the left as an IF(A) and that seems to suit him well as he bagged a brace and created the other two goals against Grimsby. Hopefully we can keep our form and cement our position up top.

January 2014 fixtures

Another very good month for us sees us further clear from the chasing pack in the league and through in the FA-Trophy. Happy with a few clean sheets aswell.

View attachment 396155

Since we are doing so great the board asked if I wanted to raise the expectations but I didn't see a point in doing that as it seems that we are quite broke.

View attachment 396154

Board takeover collapses and we dont get a new rich owner. Atleast the transfer embargo is lifted but the club has zero cash to buy players for anyway.

Injuries

Luckily Halldorssons injury wasn't that bad and we managed to grind out some wins without our best player. In the last game of the month both R?yrane and Hodder got injured once more and both will be out for a while. Tomlinson will soon be back from his seven week absence.

League Table

Looking very good for us right now and it seems like it's only Kidderminster that are up for the chase as they are grinding out 1-0 wins at the moment. Hopefully we can keep our form and they get a few slipups.

I'm going to name Casper Gr?nn our player of the month as he is the biggest reason behind our improved defence. He won us the three points against Woking aswell with his late scrambling goal from a corner.

February 2014 Fixtures

Only four games this month and we started off with a very dissapointing performance away to Workington in the FA-trophy, two goals from the spot by Joe Jackson sent us crashing out of the competition. Then we managed to get a late winner to secure three points against bottom of the table Hyde. Halldorsson got on the end of Casper Gronns hoof and cooly rounded the keeper. The game against Kidderminster was probably the leaguefinal and while they just were after to injure my players we secured a huge win. Tomlinson who just had returned from his last injury came on when Rhead broke down and bagged a brace. The highlight of the game was Sheridans assist to the second goal where he just danced past the entire Kidderminster defence and served the ball for Tomlinson who just had to poke it into an open net. Against Chester we went 0-2 down, got three players injured and had to turn around a 1-2 score with ten men. Delighted with the fightingspirit the players showed and once again our Vice-captain Casper Gronn scrambles home a late winner. Our equaliser was a bit of a comedy where Tomlinson hit the bar and the ball bounced off the keepers back and into the net. Fortunatly no injury was serious this month, Matt Rhead is out for two weeks but I feared the worst after the Chester-game where Halldorsson, Sheridan and Power all linked off with knocks.

League Table

It's looking very good for us right now and only a meltdown can take the title away from us. Tomlinson our best player this month, he has made the difference for us after his return from injury.

March 2014 Fixtures

A decent month for us, the loss to Gateshead was dissapointing but it was much closer than the result suggests. We really should have won at Tamworth but we missed a ton of chances and they scored from a direct free kick and a penalty. Pleased with Royranes hattrick against Braintree.

New contract

I tried to get a longer deal but they refused. I guess thats life at this level.

View attachment 396079

Our youth intake was poor and only this guy seems like a decent prospect

View attachment 396078

League Table

We slipped up a bit this month but so did Kidderminster and we keep the distance. Mamadou Fofana was our stand out performer this month with two Motm awards and four assists in five games for the playmaker.

April 2014 Fixtures

Scrappy month where we didnt have a left back for two games as Newton served a two-match suspension for picking up ten bookings this season. It showed against Cambridge where we got humiliated. The title was already secured with four games left though so we just didn't care that much. Halldorsson missed a few games aswell with an injury which hurt us going forward.

View attachment 395881

As mentioned we secured the title with four games left and we will be playing league football next season!

View attachment 395880

A new discussion for takeover put us under a transfer embargo once more and it looked bad for a while and the discussions got nowhere but after a nervous month for everyone at the club a deal was finally agreed.

View attachment 395876

Very happy with the budgets which give me a big wagebudget available for the new season.

View attachment 395875

A few new sponsors aswell which was well welcomed.

View attachment 395873

Halldorsson wins player of the season. Bradford are spamming me with bids at the moment but I deny them all.

View attachment 395870

The fans love him too and he was easily our best player this year.

View attachment 395866

League table

We ended the season poorly but still won the league 15 points clear of Kidderminster who follows us up to League 2 after beating Grimsby at Wembley.

New Season!

We are underdogs of course but I think we can be up there in the mix at the end of the season.

(Just a disclaimer, there are something with the Icelandic letters that messes up the upload of their player profiles here.)

Transfers Summer 2014

First player in was the beastly striker Kolbeinn Karason from Icelandic side Valur. Kolbeinn will be our main striker this season and hopefully he can cause big problems with his strength. He's surprisingly quick for his size but poor jumping reach for a guy that's almost two metres tall.

View attachment 395772

Next player in is also from Iceland. Baldur Sigurdsson's attributes fits perfect for this league, strong, hardworking and good stamina, he will run all day and be a threat going forward aswell with his aerial skill. He kinda looks like Shrek aswell which is a big plus!

View attachment 395771

The third guy in is also our third Icelandic player to join us this window. We needed to a playmaker to pick out the runs from all runners we got in the squad. Andri Fannar Stefansson can do just that with his good passing and vision.

View attachment 395770

Next up is another midfielder who joins us for free from recently relegated Wycombe. Stuart Lewis is a typical lower league player who runs all day for the team, he's a good passer aswell so he can deputy as playmaker.

View attachment 395769

The next two transfers are both centrebacks which we desperatly needed since Casper Gronn was the only CB we had left since last season. Both these two players are class and will make our new captain work hard to keep his place in the starting team. Baldvinsson is probably the only Faroese player in this leauge, if not in the entire league system.

View attachment 395768

View attachment 395767

Last transfer is a new goalie which I thought was necessary since I don't trust Farman at this level. Highly experienced Dimitris Konstantopoulos joins us on a free transfer and goes straight into the starting lineup.

View attachment 395766

Then we got three players in on loan aswell. My money ran out and we still needed a right back so Riley will get alot of gametime. Sean Mcginty comes in as backup on the left back position, though he got injured straight away and misses the first few games. Third loanee is a backup winger who can play on both sides in case Halldorsson or Royrane gets injured (which they will).

View attachment 395765

View attachment 395764

View attachment 395761

I brought in some cash too. Yeovil came out of nowhere with a bid on my best regen from last seasons youth intake. Hopefully he can develop there and bring us some more money in the future.

View attachment 395763

As you can see we actually sold for more cash than we bought for but the wagebudget is now stretched to the max.

View attachment 395762

As there nearly no player pictures of the icelandic players in the facepack I use I thought I'd show you how they look with some pictures from google.

August 2014 Fixtures

We start our life in the league system with a 0-0 draw away to Newport, a match we should have won as we had all the chances and missed a penatly. Then we had a crazy game in the capital one cup against championship side Norwich. We were in control all game until substitute Matt Rhead did the worst back pass in history setting Daniel Kolar through on goal, he made no mistake and chipped Konstantoupolos in goal. Extra time started with a heartbreak as Van Volfsvinkel headed home from a corner, but man of the match Halldorsson would get the last laugh. He first scrambled home from a freekick rebound before taking a 50 yard rush carrying three differrent knocks and 50% fitness he puts in a perfect cross for Rhead to poke home. Good for Rhead to get some revenge on himself after his mistake.

Rest of this months league games went okay with two wins and two losses. Highlight of the month was a dominating win away to championship side Blackburn in the second round of the capital one cup. We should have won by alot more.

View attachment 395591

As you can see the winning score should have been bigger. Karason finally got his first goal for the club but he also wasted 3-4 CCC's on his own.

View attachment 395587

League Table

Of course I would have liked a little better start but with us overperforming in the capital one cup I guess you have to live with some bad performances in the leauge. Halldorsson and Stefansson have been our two best players by a landslide this month. Halldorsson got six goals in seven games and Stefansson got six assists also in seven games.

View attachment 395585

Stefansson won the League 2 player of the month award and Halldorsson came on second place. This says it all, our results as a team haven't been great but these two players are carrying us at the moment.
