IM managing arsenal, and i bought messi for 35.5 million, hes playin right wing ,but hes not that effective or doing that well, hes such a good player so deos any one have any advice on things i cud do to make him more effective and dangerous to teams

Free role, creative freedom high, make him the playmaker ... you cannot fail

mentality just above attacking
forward run mixed
run with ball high
long shots mixed
crossing mixed
through ball mixed
this will result in hime gutting in side and scoring lots of goal because he have outstanding finishing

Reduce his crossing to non-existant and have his through balls on mixed.

He'll cut inside and his decision making should have him slotting balls through or shooting accordindly

dude, i basically use 4 playmaker in my barca tactic.
unbeaten 38 games so far: D, play them both playmakers ; P

i got messi aswell for 45 million play him attacking left mid he gets goals and assists

yea i gave him a free role and have forward runs full, run with ball full , the next two at nothing and crossing mixed, hes starting to play well.

10 games now 3 goals 7 assists 7.72 avrg rating, not bad

Give him time. There are loads of articles on how Messi doesm't score (including one by me). But give him 10 games and after he has settled down he will start banging in the goals and assisting the strikers. He was the top scorer in the premier league despite not scoring in his first 11 games.
