I play this formation a lot and I am most successful so I'll give it my best try.

Right away a poacher should never be a role for your lone striker. He does nothing other than try to score so no link-up play whatsoever meaning he is marked out too easily. Change it to a DLF-S or AF so there is link up play. If he can play him as a CF-S/A.

Two inside forward both on attack and no full backs supporting? You are asking to play wide but everyone is going narrow. Put one of them (whichever suits the role better) as a W-S and if the other winger IF-A or W-A or IF-S with the full back on the same side as the supporting winger attacking so it can cause movement.

I would never give every play multiple instructions. I try to keep PI at a minimum otherwise it hurts the tactic. So try and remove everyone of them (apart from keeper distribution) and see how your team reacts. Then change accordingly on what you see.

I don't see too much wrong with your midfield though. It is well balanced imo.

I see you have asked 1 of your CDs to try risker passes that seems dangerous to me because if he doesnt pull the pass off the opposing team would more than likeky be in on goal.

Some of your instructions are a bit contradictory in my opinion, like:
close down more and hold position,
playing wide with no real attacking wide players,
high tempo but playing out of defense since it is traditionally going to be a slower build up, I dont see the reason to rush play.
playing out of defense and direct passing
looking for overlap when FB's are essentially on support (I think) since they are automatic under Control and won't overlap much

It's my personal favorite formation too, I can't say I've had tremendous, overwhelming success but consider using wingers if you are going to play fullbacks, they are much more effective and you will get much more delivery into your striker, they get way more assists for me than IFs and they do score goals. You can also experiment with APs on the wings if you dont have the right footed players for wingers, they will cut inside but are far less greedy than IFs

with the instructions from bluebird 123 my team seems to be playing a lot better.i have removed all the personal instructions, i have one winger in support with the full back behind him in attack and the other is playing as inside forward attack.and the striker of course as dlf-s.i have won 3 games in a row stuttgard(6-2), HSV(5-0) and dortmund(3-0)..i will post my results from now on if they continue to be so good.thanks for the help.
