I'm in my 3rd season.

Issue 1. Daniel Agger is in his final year contract wise. Should I renew his contract or sell him off to buy a younger alternative to partner Coates?

Issue 2. I already have Bellusci and Wilson. Should I buy a rightback so Kelly can be a backup centreback(johnson is getting on a bit)? Or simply buy one more specialised centreback?

Issue 3. If yes, who would be best? I have 37 million to spend.

Apologies if this should be in a different thread/forum. Peace.

Kyriakos Papadopoulos is a good call. Valued at about £6.5M if still @ Shalke = should get for about £10M & he plays DM as well. Also check out: Kurt Zouma, Mattia de Sciglio, Nathaniel Chalobah who should all be quite cheap & Matija Nastasic (might be expensive on 3rd season). P.S. There is a section for team guides somewhere.

Yeh, Stefan de Vrij is not bad. About 100 appearances for Feyenoord with a handful of Dutch caps thrown in. He'll only be 22/23 in 3rd season and accepts about £6K/week wages. Never played da Costa so dunno about him.

Guillermo Burdisso from Boca Juniors is worth a look for the money but only plays centre. Trying not to suggest obvious names. Try Inigo Martinez as well.

So should I go for De Vrij or Peruzzi (use Kelly as back up CD)?

Up to you. De Vrij is probably about as good as he is going to get but Peruzzi can still improve. I would probably go with Peruzzi of the 2.

I am in the 3rd season with Liverpool and I cannot seperate Wilson and Coates with Kelly as back-up. Vrsaljko as RB and Diego Contento as LB. McLaughlan is a good back-up as RB.

Hey mate,

if Fabio isn't getting game for Man U, try and get him on loan with option to buy if he works out. Can play LB 0r RB. 3rd season, Davide Santon might be quite expensive but can be trained to play both LB & RB. Between them, should cover you for a while. Seb Coates is a good player.

Seb is a beast despite mediocre defensive stats.

In my save I sold Agger to PSG in 2nd season for 30m. With that money I bought Kurt Zouma who is an absolute physical monster and defensive god. His passing and ball skills are horrible though... I try to keep him out of build up play as much as possible. At 26m (what I paid for him) his price is a little steep for someone not as well-rounded as Agger was, but at 18 he still has a lot of room to grow.

Skrtel still partners Seb for me most often, but both Zouma and Kelly get games. All four of my CDs average in the 7.20-7.40 rating. Next year I think I will sell skirts and keep Seb and Zouma as my starting pair.

As for the OP, if you play with attacking fullbacks or wingbacks you can do what I did and retrain Jordan Henderson as a WBR. Believe it or not, he turns out to be immense, especially when going forward. He's kept Johnson on the bench or moved to WBL. For cover I just signed Nathaniel Clyne from Southampton for 9m, but the verdict is still out on him.

Don't get peruzzi, gets booked and sent off to many times cause he has 'dive into tackles' as his preferred move and won't untrain it, keep Kelly as a cb and offer agger a new deal, maybe 2 year and get a new right back who can replace Johnson the next season

i would actually keep kelly at RB, he's been a beast there for me every single save i run with liverpool. I actually give him the starting role over johnson right from the get. He's just so consistent out there, i've played him inside as well but i think he lacks a little bit of strength and heading ability for me usually, but plenty for the rb slot.

I agree to offering agger a new deal though, he'll be 31 this season so he won't get quite as many games i'm sure but think carra last season for pool. brings a ton of experience as a really composed CB.

If you want to go english I suggest Phil Jones, united usually lets him go somewhere else and you can get him from there, will slot in nicely with the team and able to play that ball playing role agger excels in. Caulker is another excellent option. James Tomkins and Nathan Baker are a slight step down but still good enough and young enough.

Non English:
Toby Alderweireld
Inigo Martinez
Badstuber
Papadopoulos
Umtiti
Marc Bartra
Martins Indi
Zouma

its a long list but all of them are pretty young and most at smaller clubs to start with and all turn in to studs!
Hope this helps!
