Signed it, hopefully G & S will leave us, i am sick off them already
Just to give you an idea of where this fits into the overall picture of things, currently going on:
1) Lot of professional PR work which is focusing media attention
2) Lot of private contacts with 'insiders' at the club and banks whose attention is being drawn to the fans views
3) Lot of political pressure being applied by politicians from all over the UK who are getting messaged and getting visits from supporters and have done for a long time.
4) Petitions, they're all being passed on to give key players in this an overview of just how strongly people feel on the issue and just how widespread the desire to see H&G out is
5) At least one firm and realistic bid on the table
Just one small part of building up pressure to force the club out of the owners hands, but it's one which we can all do. Hicks and Gillett do not have control of how and when the club is sold. We need to put pressure on those who do have that control and keep it on them so that they don't bottle out of the decision.
Petitions when part of an overall campaign work. On their own, not so good. But as part of a campaign they do and I could bore you with examples of people getting the right to vote, Gurkhas being allowed to stay in the country, football clubs being protected from greedy owners by local councils etc.
Appreciate all of you who've signed it, whether Liverpool supporters or not, getting behind this.
