December is approaching, which means in a month's time, some of my players will be free to talk to clubs, about a free summer move.

So, I moved in and signed them up.

Captain fantastic - Stevie G signs on for 1 more season. I do intend to buy a Gerrard replacement next summer, so that he can get valuable guidance from the man himself, before he retires.

Johnny boy can play on either flanks, and is a very useful squad player. Local and homegrown too. Low wages.


I don't intend to offer contract to Glen Johnson though. I'll try to sell him for whatever fee I get this January. Enrique, Jones also heading the exit door, and if things don't improve, and am in need of funds, then I plan to sell Lallana. He hasn't been good so far. Very average.

Tight at the top there so far but going on an earlier post about possibly selling Lallana, have you given him much of a starting chance? or have you just brought him on from the bench mostly?

Never looked like winning this game. Trailed by a goal, we fought back and took the lead
but Stoke looked more likely to draw, and they did in injury time, off a setpiece.

West Brom's GK was in god mode.
Saving everything. Balo should have had a hattrick.
But a win and a clean sheet.

First half was all us, second half all Chelsea.
Vital 2 goal lead going into second leg.
Could Remy's goal make difference? We'll see.
Sturridge injured, out 2 weeks, to miss return leg. This could hurt us.

Lallana was complaining of lack of first team oppurtunities.
We had several arguments, even abused each other.
The problem was that, he was behind Sterling & Suso for the CAM role
He was also behind Coutinho & Allen for the DLP role.
It was very hard to find oppurtunities for him in the team. Of the few chances he got, he was average.
Hence I accepted non-negotiable bid from City.

Jose Enrique also sold to Hull for 3 million.

and had bids accepted for Johnson & Markovic.
Johnson was close to departure. 2.5 million bids accepted from Juventus and Benfica, but he could not agree terms and decided to stay instead.
10 milion bid was accepted for Markovic from Sporting, but it was very very late on deadline day, and it was unsuccessful.

He had 5 starts, and several sub appearances, majority in his favoured CAM role, but he looked very average. Even tried him as a deep lying playmaker, but of no use.
Sterling and Suso both are in superb form. Coutinho, Allen are also doing well, so it is very difficult for Lallana to even get sub appearances.
So, when the bid came, I decided to cash him in. 12.25 is very less, fans were upset, but a risk I took.
