Hi guys,

So as a final push in FM16 I wanted to start as my beloved Liverpool using some of the transfer updates here to get a feel for them for FM17.

I have had success playing a 4-2-3-1 formation previously with Liverpool but given they are so top heavy with attacking options (so many AM's) I was wondering can anyone help with a tactic that incorporates Klopp's Gegenpressing but possibly plays with 3 strikers (Mane, Firmino and Sturridge) and an AMC(Coutinho, Wijnaldum)?

Basically I want the high press and a if you score 10 we'll score 11 similar to the Arsenal game on Sunday.

Also would 2 Box to Box CM's work? Or would that leave me so exposed?

Attacking, Pressing and Goals. Hardly too much to ask? lol

Thanks in advance.

I still play FM2016 and have a similar idea. However, I start in the lower leagues and I'm the underdog in the cup games. I don't like a controlled game and I don't want to park a bus. Just attacking is not enough for me and counter-attacking football is too fearful for me. So what do I have to lose? So I have decided to have a very offensive mentality (overload), high pressing and very risky style of play.

But I think I'll remove the "get stuck in" instruction because there are too many yellow cards and the risk of red cards is very high. I had 67 yellow cards and two red cards in 38 league games. If the defender has poor concentration values, then the red cards also increase.

I play in narrow 433/4123/4312 formations.

The goalkeeper is supposed to pass to the full-backs, so there is no need to play out from the defence. Then the players are free to play the ball wherever they want, as long as a teammate gets the ball and then it goes towards the opponent's goal. If not, then they immediately press and win the ball. I like the way they play and I will never be annoyed that I could have taken a bit more of a risk.
